Joke

Enthusiasts are displeased by rumors of an advanced Nintendo Switch model, as they have mixed feelings about the gaming giant’s past performance. While Nintendo has enjoyed widespread adoration in the gaming world, it has faced criticism over time. The Wii U, following the massive success of the Wii, was a misstep for the company that dented its reputation despite offering some exceptional games. Unfortunately, the hardware didn’t resonate well with consumers or receive adequate marketing. Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch served as a game-changer for the company, turning things around completely. Now, Nintendo is planning to build on this success with the Nintendo Switch 2 – an upgraded, more potent version of its previous model, boasting impressive games too.

Despite its attractive design and engaging games, there’s been criticism over the high prices of Nintendo Switch 2 games. While many will remain in the $60 – $70 range, some will retail at $80, a significant increase compared to the usual $60 price point of previous Nintendo consoles. This change has left some potential buyers hesitant about purchasing the console, even before its release. However, with its highly anticipated debut approaching, some fans are already expressing disappointment about the console.

Nintendo Switch 2 Consoles Leak, But They Don’t Work

It seems that some Nintendo Switch 2 devices might have been accidentally released ahead of their official launch date. Unfortunately, if you find yourself in possession of one before next week, it will essentially be non-functional as it needs an update to work properly, and this update isn’t available yet. As reported by Wario64, a person who obtained a Nintendo Switch 2 found that they couldn’t play games from the original Nintendo Switch on the new console because they were prompted to connect to the internet and update their system instead.

It appears that gamers are displeased due to concerns about the Nintendo Switch 2’s functionality. While some see this as a security measure to prevent data leaks, others worry about its implications for users without internet access. The question being asked is whether the console becomes virtually useless if it isn’t connected to the internet at least once. Given that the portable nature of the device allows you to update it with an internet connection wherever you go, fans remain dissatisfied nonetheless.

Following the confirmation that not every Nintendo Switch game will have a traditional physical release, instead of providing one-time download codes as before, Nintendo has introduced game keys – essentially digital licenses for games on mini cartridges. These keys still need an internet connection to download, unlike standard Switch 2 cartridges which can be played without additional setup. This change is partly due to the expense of producing larger cartridges, but fans have expressed disappointment. Notably, games like Cyberpunk 2077 have attempted to include the entire game on its cartridge, a positive development for physical media supporters. Some also question whether Nintendo’s servers will be capable of managing simultaneous updates from multiple consoles.

What a joke

So the system is a brick unless you download the patch. That is the most Nintendo thing ever.

Imagine owning things

Nintendo calls it Switch 2 but we can call it Xbox One by Don Mattrick circa e3 2013

This console leaves much to be desired. It’s astonishing how some people continue to back Nintendo, given their questionable actions regarding this device – such as their consumer-unfriendly policies and hostile behavior.

So customers don’t truly own the games or the hardware either.
