Jon Moxley Returns to AEW on Dynamite With a Mysterious Promise

As a lifelong wrestling fan with over three decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite was nothing short of electrifying! The return of Jon Moxley, or as some may know him, Dean Ambrose, sent shockwaves through the wrestling community. His darker persona and new theme music only added to the intrigue surrounding his character.

Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite began with a memorable comeback for the audience in Champaign, Illinois. Previously crowned AEW World Champion Jon Moxley graced our screens on AEW broadcasts since his bout at the AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door event. In that match, he surrendered the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to a NJPW icon. Unlike before, when he entered the arena to “Wild Thing”, he chose the eerie “Death Rider” as his new theme music from NJPW for this appearance.

In the ring, he encounters Tony Schiavone to deliver a speech, but he admits he hasn’t been chatty recently. Instead, he’s been deep in thought about necessary actions. He didn’t go into detail on that topic, and overall, his speech had a foreboding tone. He states that he’s searching for an individual who isn’t present in the venue. This person shares similarities with him, yet they are distinctly different, which means their encounter has been delayed unnecessarily.

He calls out Darby Allin and says that it’s about time they have a talk. He won’t be hard to find. He cuts off Schiavone who seems to be poking for more information. While it’ll take time for people to wrap their minds about what he means but his next words, AEW is not Schiavone’s company anymore. He walks off and back into the crowd, the same way he entered.

Jon Moxley is looking for Darby Allin?!

It’s worth mentioning that during his absence from professional wrestling, Mox has become proficient in jiu-jitsu and has participated in numerous matches. Given his history of a “shoot style” wrestling, particularly on the independent circuit, it seems logical that he would incorporate this into his AEW persona to bring something new. However, fans’ opinions about Mox’s preferred wrestling style are split – some appreciate his use of weapons or his tendency to bleed during matches, while others find it less appealing.

As a fervent fan, I’ve been thrilled to see my beloved Moxley’s transformation over the past few months, with his close friend, Josh Barnett, playing a significant role in shaping his unique style within the WWE. According to Fightful Select, although Moxley didn’t make it to London for AEW All In, he instead swung by Dayton, Ohio for PW Revolver shows, specifically Shoot Style. The roster boasted some impressive talent, including Matt Riddle, Jake Something, Steve Maclin, Marina Shafir, Josh Alexander, and Mike Bailey.
