Journalist, radio host, movie producer, and at one time also a band manager and musician John Ronson has left an unmistakable impression through his distinctive, quirky works in books, documentaries, radio programs, and lectures.
Born and brought up in Cardiff, he later relocated to London and eventually immigrated to New York. His collection of books is quite impressive, featuring titles like “The Psychopath Test,” “Them,” and “So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed!”, all excellent reads, particularly the last one given our current social media-obsessed era. Other books in his catalog include “Frank” and “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” both of which have been adapted into films, with Michael Fassbender and George Clooney playing lead roles in their respective productions.
We enjoyed an extended conversation with Jon, discussing everything from his challenging school years, encounters with Alex Jones, collaborating on screenplays with the award-winning director Bong Joon Ho, and presenting TED talks alongside Bill Gates.
