This is largely due to its talented cast, with George Clooney at the helm, who was particularly popular during that era. Even today, I still believe he embodied the essence of a heartthrob, and his charm was especially noticeable in the early 2000s as Joshua Jackson attested while recounting “the most amazing movie star moment” he’d ever seen.

During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Joshua Jackson shared about one of the most amazing Hollywood moments he’s experienced, which revolved around George Clooney. Although Jackson was primarily recognized for his role in Dawson’s Creek at that time, he had a memorable cameo in a poker lesson scene from a film, and during filming, he managed to engage in a conversation with George Clooney, director Steven Soderbergh, Brad Pitt, and others.

The conversation was wild, as the Doctor Odyssey star recalled:

Here’s how the conversation started: I found myself joining in, as there were a dozen Indian motorcycles stationed on the stage. Being somewhat of a car enthusiast, I asked, “What’s this about?” To which he replied, “Oh, these are presents for my friends, a perk of being a movie star. However, they need to be sent to Italy, so I’m arranging for all these bikes to be shipped there.

Initially discussing the idea of transporting motorcycles to Italy might seem bizarre. But it’s downright astonishing when you learn that Clooney was nonchalantly shipping a dozen of them as presents! And things only got more extraordinary from there.

During their conversation, the actor from Karate Kid: Legends mentioned that a production assistant interrupted them to offer coffee or snacks. She had asked Brad Pitt and Jackson (referred to by him as the “young schmuck”) earlier, but when she looked at Clooney, she became visibly smitten and appeared to be overcome with admiration.

She’s been working with Clooney for about two months now, correct? This is indeed a well-known figure. ‘Mr. Pitt, may I fetch you a coffee?’ ‘Young fellow, may I fetch you a coffee?’ Mr. Clooney,’ And as she speaks these words, she almost faints. It’s as if her brain momentarily malfunctions, causing her to faint.

You too seem to be quite fond of “Ocean’s Eleven”. I’ve watched it so many times, and with a Netflix subscription, you can catch it whenever you like. Given my deep affection for the entire cast, I can easily imagine myself reacting in a similar way.

In support of the same idea, the actor from The Mighty Ducks added that it was likely frequent for individuals to be smitten by his co-star due to their presence.

Midway through narrating the tale, these individuals unexpectedly departed for Italy. Instead of missing a beat, Clooney smoothly interjects, “No worries, darling, I’ve got it handled.” He gently assists her and continues his narrative without any hitch. This action suggested to me that countless individuals are captivated by this man, so much so that he barely skips a step or pauses, seemingly unaware of the momentous event that had just transpired.

Jackson continued by expressing his disbelief at what he had witnessed. He also hinted at Clooney’s reputation for practical jokes by saying, “If it was a trick, well played!”, implying that if it was staged, Clooney did a great job. Regardless, he was left in awe, and since then, he has been sharing this tale for more than two decades.

It’s quite extraordinary to see George Clooney, an internationally recognized handsome actor known for his charm, actually apprehend someone who had secret admiration for him! And to make things even more intriguing, they were discussing the logistics of shipping motorcycles to Italy during the filming of a movie that has since become a timeless heist classic. This story is nothing short of captivating.
