As a seasoned gamer and avid anime enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the Shibuya Incident Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen has left me utterly spellbound. The way Studio MAPPA masterfully weaved together the intricate plotlines, the suspenseful build-up, and the shocking twists and turns – it’s nothing short of a symphony of storytelling.
The Shibuya Incident Storyline in ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ saw numerous deaths among its cast of energy-wielding characters, largely orchestrated by Suguru Geto. Unlike the mastermind behind season two, Geto didn’t aim to eliminate the enigmatic teacher with the blindfold, Gojo. Instead, he trapped the Jujutsu Tech instructor within the Prison Realm, allowing him to set his scheme for Shibuya and the impending Culling Game into action. Recently, a cosplayer has successfully recreated both Geto and his companion Kenjaku, capturing their likenesses perfectly through impressive cosplay.
Man, let me tell you, the jaw-dropping moment during season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen for me was learning that Suguru Geto, as it turns out, had perished due to the happenings in the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. His death at Gojo’s hands seemed final, but boy, was I wrong! Somehow, mysteriously, Geto came back – there was a scar across his forehead to prove it.
Kenjaku Rises
In the anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen,” one of its most shocking and revolting moments came during Kenjaku’s revelation. Instead of revealing himself conventionally, he unveiled his true identity by having “Geto” emerge from the top of his head. Although Geto and Kenjaku are not the same individual, their objectives have shared a common thread – to establish a world where users of cursed energy dominate over humanity. To achieve this end, the Culling Game was conceived, which will play a significant role in the anime’s upcoming third season.

MAPPA studio has officially announced that a third season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is being developed, but as of now, no release date has been set for its continuation featuring Yuji Itadori. Despite the grim ending of the Shibuya Incident Arc, new formidable challenges await Yuji in the upcoming episodes. As the manga nears its conclusion, several significant events are poised to unfold on television screens.
