Jujutsu Kaisen Epilogue Shows Nobara Fulfilling Gojo’s Last Wish

As an observer with years of immersion in the captivating world of Jujutsu Kaisen, I must say that the final epilogue focusing on Nobara Kugisaki is a poignant and long-awaited chapter in this gripping narrative. The journey of Nobara, from her tragic encounter with Mahito to her miraculous return, has been nothing short of enthralling.

The 30th volume of “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga, due for release with Volume 29 on December 25, 2024, will feature a concluding epilogue that has left fans feeling disappointed. This final chapter will primarily focus on Nobara Kugisaki, Yuko Ozawa, Panda, and Uraume. Notably, Nobara, one of the main characters in the series, takes a back seat after her battle with Mahito. In Chapter 124, she is fatally wounded by Mahito. Over the following chapters, we catch brief glimpses into her past, and she expresses her joy as a sorcerer. Aware of her impending demise, she bids farewell to Yuji before her story takes a somber turn.

In Chapter 127, Arata Nitta’s appearance raises questions about her status as he rushes her off for emergency care, halting her bleeding. The series implies her disappearance three times since then, yet never confirms it definitively. Although the chances of her return were slim, she reappears in Chapter 265, playing a crucial part in the fight against Sukuna. However, her role doesn’t end there. In Chapter 268, she encounters Gojo’s last letter, which references her mother. This sets the stage for her new objective, despite her initial hesitation.

Nobara Meets Her Mother In the Jujutsu Kaisen Final Epilogue

Gojo has consistently prioritized his students’ well-being over everything else, much like how he cared for Megumi and Yuji. However, in JJK, we don’t see many instances of him interacting with Nobara as we do with the others. Yet, before his untimely departure, he wrote letters for both Nobara and Megumi, as he couldn’t bid farewell to them personally. Since Nobara was still unconscious after the Shibuya Incident Arc, she woke up only 30 minutes prior to his death. In her letter, Gojo informs her that he managed to find her mother for her.

In his role as leader of the Gojo Clan, he boasts a vast network of connections. Remarkably, he managed to trace Yuta’s ancestry, a fact unknown to all in the Jujutsu world. This makes locating an ex-sorcerer relatively simple for him. His efforts are motivated by his genuine desire for Nobara to reconcile with her mother. He seems to think this could aid Nobara in overcoming her tumultuous past. This is the initial reference to her mother in the narrative, and it’s evident that Nobara is far from pleased about it. Since her maternal grandmother raised her, it’s not hard to infer that the relationship between mother and daughter has been strained.

A lot of details regarding Nobara’s early life are still undisclosed. The only person she frequently mentions from her past is her childhood friend, Saori, who was with her for a brief duration. However, in the closing chapter, there’s a scene where Nobara encounters her mother. Her mother appears stylish and carefree, bearing a slight resemblance to Nobara. She seems pleased to see her daughter but Nobara swiftly denies any joy, claiming it’s inappropriate to disregard the wishes of the deceased.

In the past, Nobara’s family has possessed powers tainted with curses, but none potent enough to qualify them as Jujutsu sorcerers. Despite her repeated assertions to the contrary, it’s clear that Nobara does care about her mother on some level, given her ability to loosen the emotional bonds in her heart. Additionally, we catch a fleeting glimpse of Nobara’s grandmother’s stern visage as she prepares to reprimand the mother for leaving her daughter behind.
