As a seasoned gamer and anime enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must confess that the bond between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto in “Jujutsu Kaisen” has left an indelible mark on me. It’s not every day you stumble upon a friendship-turned-rivalry as captivating as theirs, and it’s even rarer to witness such a dynamic played out on the global stage through a beloved anime series.
As a die-hard fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I can’t help but reminisce about the epic journey of Yuji Itadori that Gege Akutami so brilliantly crafted earlier this year. Even though the story has reached its conclusion, it’s characters like Suguru Geto who continue to linger in our hearts. The exciting news is that Studio MAPPA has already greenlit a third season, ensuring that the tale of Jujutsu Tech will unfold further on our screens before we witness its grand finale.
Initially, in the narrative of “Jujutsu Kaisen”, Gojo and Geto held profound disagreements, to the point where they were prepared to take each other’s lives. Despite their close friendship during their student days at Jujutsu Tech, their relationship drastically changed during the Hidden Inventory Arc. Being the most powerful students at this supernatural institution, they were often assigned dangerous missions that significantly influenced their character development. While Gojo eventually became a teacher at the school, Geto chose a distinctly different path.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Geto x Gojo Relationship
Similar to numerous other characters in the anime community, Gojo and Geto were never a romantic pairing within the official Jujutsu Kaisen series. However, this hasn’t stopped numerous artists and fans from fantasizing about their relationship. Interestingly, a Japanese news reporter was recently caught glancing at some fictional images on her phone that weren’t part of the actual Jujutsu Kaisen series. Despite Geto’s transformation due to the events in the prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, these two former friends remain bitter adversaries. The Shibuya Incident Arc in the current anime only reinforces this enmity.
In the Shibuya Incident storyline, it turns out that “Geto” is not exactly as people, including Gojo, had imagined. When Geto unveiled his true identity to the enigmatic powerhouse wearing a blindfold, he managed to catch Gojo off guard and imprison him within the Prison Realm. With Gojo out of the picture, chaos ensued in Shibuya and the Jujutsu Tech world at large. Now that Satoru Gojo is no longer present, the antagonists have seized this opportunity and have orchestrated a thrilling third season for the anime produced by MAPPA.

Jujutsu Kaisen: A Jujutsu Tech Future
The conclusion of the “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga has sparked debate among many fans due to its unexpected focus on Yuji Itadori and the survivors of the final supernatural battle in this popular shonen series. Despite the disagreement over the ending, it hasn’t diminished the impact the series continues to have within the anime community as a whole.
Given that Studio MAPPA has already confirmed a third season based on the “Culling Game” arc, there’s a strong chance that we might see a fourth season of Jujutsu Kaisen in the future. If the anime stays true to the manga, the fourth season could potentially be the final one as the storyline seems to align with the conclusion of the printed work. However, it’s important to note that any reconciliation between characters like Geto and Gojo is unlikely if the anime adheres to the original storyline.
