As the anime and manga industry grew in popularity, so too did the culture of leaks gain significant attention. While it’s generally viewed negatively, enthusiasts often find themselves drawn to unofficial content that becomes available prior to any official confirmation. For instance, during the run of the “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga, chapters were always leaked and garnered several million views before their official release. On social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), fans would eagerly anticipate spoilers about upcoming events. Even after the manga ceased airing, new information such as the final volumes’ release and the Exhibition continued to pique global fan interest.
Absolutely, that information is easily accessible to Japanese fans who can talk about it online. However, the downside is that misinformation spreads just as quickly because there’s no way to verify the truth or falsehood of posts on social media. At present, the Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition in Osaka, Japan, offers a peek behind the scenes of its creation and showcases Gege Akutami’s digital drawing methods. The event also features a Q&A section where Gege shares intriguing details about his manga. While many discussions on social media center around the final arc, not all of them are accurate.
Just letting you know, I’ll be at the Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition in Osaka this week. For now, any news regarding a new Q&A or additional information from Gege is merely speculation as far as I’m concerned.

Jujutsu Kaisen Translator Clarified Some Major Misunderstandings
Clare, also recognized as a renowned fan translator, took on the task of officially translating Chapter 236 of the manga. This chapter, considered the most contentious in the series, dramatically depicted Gojo’s death following his apparent victory in Chapter 235. Known for resolving confusion within the series, especially for English-reading fans dealing with various translation errors, Lightning Clare has been a beacon of clarity.
The JJK Exhibition sparked a wave of debate as multiple accounts shared their Q&A interpretations, leading to disagreements among fans. Even @Go_Jover shared several statements, which were widely accepted by fans. Fortunately, the translator, who was attending the Exhibition, pledged to clarify all the statements, bringing reassurance to the community.
Today, I visited the JJK Exhibition at Osaka Grand Front.
• Regarding Gojo’s actions against World Slash: It appears that Gojo momentarily weakened his defenses.
• Concerning Angel’s origin: Angel hails from the Middle East region.
• In terms of Kashimo’s threat level to Sukuna: After Gojo, Kashimo was considered Sukuna’s most significant adversary.
• With respect to Kenjaku’s intentions towards Yuta: If Kenjaku had treated anyone similarly, it would have been Yuta, much like he did with Miwa.— Lightning (@lightningclare) April 25, 2025
As anticipated, some of the claims turned out to be untrue. The assertion that Kashimo posed a threat to Sukuna was propagated by @Go_Jover, an account boasting over 850k followers, sparking debate among fans for several days. However, in the manga, Kashimo was swiftly defeated by Sukuna, making him no match for the King of Curses. Consequently, such a claim left many puzzled, yet it gained credence due to its origin from a renowned source.
Regardless, errors can occur, and it was made clear soon after that the information was questionable. A rumor spread on Japanese forums, which the source assumed to be accurate. Furthermore, there was another instance where Kenjaku might have treated Yuta similarly to Miwa if Takaba hadn’t been present. This was just another untrue rumor intended to diminish Yuta’s character and make him seem much weaker than the antagonist. The event will run until June 9th, so there’s a chance that more gossip will persist within the fanbase until then. To avoid confusion, it’s advisable to remain vigilant and only rely on trustworthy sources.
