As a dedicated Jujutsu Kaisen fan with countless hours spent poring over every intricate detail of this captivating manga, I find myself torn between excitement and dismay at the prospect of an unofficial alternate ending. On one hand, I understand the desire to rewrite a story that didn’t quite meet expectations, but on the other, I can’t help but feel a sense of respect for Gege Akutami’s original vision.
The use of AI and tracing fanarts is not only disheartening but also disrespectful to the artists who have put their time, effort, and creativity into creating these works. It’s like eating someone else’s cooking and claiming it as your own without any regard for the skill and dedication that went into preparing it.
I’m all for fan creativity and interpretations, but this seems to cross a line. I’d rather see a heartfelt fan fiction or even a well-crafted fan art than an attempt to rewrite the manga itself. After all, isn’t Gojo’s death a testament to the power of acceptance and moving forward, even when faced with adversity?
As for the joke, I can’t help but chuckle at the thought of someone trying to out-Gojo Gojo himself. Now that’s one battle I wouldn’t want to witness!
Although some found the conclusion of the “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga contentious, followers are unwilling to let another creator craft an alternative ending for them. On October 12, 2024, a new account on platform X, @jujutsunokaisen, declared they will produce a fresh ending for “Jujutsu Kaisen” from Chapter 236. Despite the controversy surrounding Gojo’s demise, many admire how the manga skillfully addressed it, from Gojo’s reunion with others at the airport to Sukuna recognizing his adversary in Chapter 236, which is widely acclaimed as one of the finest written chapters in JJK. However, not every fan will always be satisfied with any series, and “Jujutsu Kaisen” is no exception.
The main criticism of the series, Jujutsu no Kaisen, has centered around Satoru Gojo’s death, leading one reader to create an alternative ending in response to those dissatisfied. This fan-made project, launched on January 1st, 2025, has a website and social media presence but has left many fans displeased. Some perceive it as an affront to Gege Akutami’s dedication, while others are angered by the use of AI and tracing of fanarts and official JJK and One Punch Man chapters.
Officially, the first chapter of the new ending has been published

Jujutsu no Kaisen Faces Tracing and AI Art Allegations
So far, the website has published just one chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen. In this new chapter, Gojo encounters others at the airport, and on this occasion, Yuki and Ichiji are also present. Interestingly, although Ichiji is alive in the manga, it’s shown that he is here. The chapter generally adheres to the original storyline, but with some dialogue modifications. However, the tempo is quicker than in the initial manga. Apart from Sukuna’s mouth on his abdomen being depicted even though he hasn’t taken on his Heian Era form, the unofficial version doesn’t seem to have made any significant alterations yet. The release date for the next part of Jujutsu Kaisen is yet to be announced.
In an update on their YouTube channel @ChibiReviews mentioned about Jujutsu Kaisen, “It seems that the fan ending for this series wasn’t just influenced by the original manga, but also Fan Artists and even One Punch Man. What a unique beginning to 2025!
Multiple fans appear to be venting their frustration towards Jujutsu no Kaisen. @TerravonRiegan replies, “It’s good to see that your discontent is due to Gojo’s death, which aligns perfectly with the storyline and power dynamics, by the way. However, I must say, you seem a bit out of depth when it comes to writing anything.
As someone who has spent a significant portion of my life immersed in creative pursuits, I have come to appreciate the value of constructive criticism. My work, like many others, often faces criticism initially, but it is through these criticisms that I learn and grow as an artist. They help me identify areas where I can improve and push myself further. Just as a diamond is formed under immense pressure, my creative output is molded by the feedback I receive.
I find it essential to remember this quote: “Never judge a book by its cover.” Life experiences have taught me that appearances can be deceiving, and it’s only through delving deeper into something that we can truly understand its worth. This applies not just to books but to people and ideas as well. So, I eagerly await the edited dialogues in the chapter, knowing that they will help bring my work to a more polished and refined state.

As the uproar persists, X placed a community message under Jujutsu Kaisen’s post, “Please note that this is unofficial. The attached ‘ending’ consists of traced images and potentially AI-generated artwork, and its content was neither created nor endorsed by the original creator, Gege Akutami, or any of his collaborators.
As the architect of the alternative finale, I’m thrilled to share that the buzz is far from subsiding! Your constructive criticisms fuel my passion, as it’s common for works such as this to encounter criticism initially. Stay tuned for the complete chapter with revised dialogues. And remember, always keep an open mind when judging a book – its true beauty often lies beyond the cover.
In the entertainment world, alternative endings aren’t a novelty, especially with “Attack on Titan” planning to unveil one shortly. However, this particular fan-made version is unique as it employs original artwork and has invested considerable resources and funds. It will even be screened in cinemas. On the other hand, the alternative ending for JJK has been under fire. The manga concluded in September 2024, and while some fans were initially disappointed, many now appreciate Gege Akutami’s reasoning behind the finale.
