View Urgent ForecastAccording to Daniel Kaplan, CEO of Keepsake Games, the aim was to design a game that blends the excitement and immersion of space exploration. Given their background at Hazelight, Mojang, and Coffee Stain, they know how to craft an exceptional cooperative game. Now, we’re at a stage where player input is crucial for us to make “Jump Ship” as excellent as possible. To achieve this, we’re launching the game into Early Access this summer, allowing us to collaborate with our players, gather their feedback, and integrate it with our vision.
Here is an overview of the game, via Coffee Stain Publishing:
As a space enthusiast, I’m all about “Jump Ship” – an action-packed, mission-driven first-person shooter that seamlessly blends ship and ground combat. The objective? Keep my crew’s spaceship intact and ready for the next jump, while gathering valuable resources, blueprints, and weaponry in the process. When I’m not manning the helm, I could be dousing fires or patching up radiation leaks on the deck, or joining my fellow crew members in boarding enemy spacecrafts or navigating perilous space stations to secure crucial supplies. It’s a thrilling ride!
In the game “Jump Ship“, you’ll find a galaxy brimming with unique celestial landscapes, such as massive asteroid belts looming on the horizon and far-off, glowing nebulas casting a spectrum of colors. The scenery shifts with every jump, taking you from raiding and plundering an enemy corvette-class ship to recovering wreckage in the vacuum or investigating a deserted research station.
But, the vast expanse of deep space conceals additional perils that are more cosmic in nature. Solar outbursts like flares and meteor storms often pose risks that could abruptly terminate a player’s space exploration in a heartbeat.
