10th June is an important date for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, particularly those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as two highly anticipated day-one games will be available on both console and PC platforms starting from that day. It’s worth noting that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the premium tier of XGP, costing $20 per month. The main advantage of this subscription service lies in providing access to day-one games. So, if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber who doesn’t have the Ultimate tier yet, 10th June might be a good time to consider upgrading your subscription.
Starting June 10, the initial game coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, a title that’s not only available on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, but also an exclusive for Xbox Series X consoles, meaning it won’t be playable on PS5 or Nintendo Switch. Given its name, this edition is essentially a remaster of the 2011 game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The hype around its sequel, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, set to release in 2024, has given this original game renewed relevance.
The duration for which Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition can be accessed through Xbox Game Pass has not been specified yet. Since this game isn’t developed by Xbox Game Studios, Activision, or Bethesda, it’s likely that it won’t remain a permanent addition to the service. However, further details regarding its availability are unavailable at this time.
Starting June 10, Rainbow Six Siege X, an enhanced version of the 2015 tactical shooter, will be available on Xbox Game Pass. Although it’s technically free-to-play, a paid version offering additional in-game items will also be available. Remarkably, the paid version will be given for free to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers from June 10 onwards. For those unaware, Rainbow Six Siege X represents a significant overhaul of the game, as Ubisoft claims it’s the “most substantial transformation in the game’s history,” which is why it has been rebranded.
It’s unclear exactly how long Rainbow Six Siege X will continue to be available for free through Xbox Game Pass. While we do know it’s not a permanent addition due to similar circumstances with Warhammer, that’s all the information we currently have at hand.
