Many enthusiasts of the Jurassic series were hoping that the initial trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth would conceal its colossal, fearsome dinosaurs, creating a larger shock when the movie hits cinemas this summer. However, the trailer didn’t completely adhere to this plan, although it did maintain limited and hazy shots of its largest, most formidable dinosaur. While the trailer only revealed a glimpse of this new monster, it is enough to verify that it is a creature unlike any previously seen in the Jurassic franchise, and it could potentially be the most petrifying being the series has ever showcased.
In “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the main action unfolds on the very island where the Jurassic Park research lab used to be, and it’s there that our principal characters must retrieve DNA samples crucial for human survival. The movie’s trailer suggests that this facility is home to dinosaur species that didn’t turn out exactly as planned during their creation. These abnormal dinosaurs were considered too risky for the park due to their unpredictable nature.
One of these dinosaurs appears to be something out of this world, resembling an extraterrestrial or a creature from a fantasy realm. It seems to share more similarities with the Xenomorph than a T-Rex, as suggested by its current appearance. Have a peek!
One of only two glimpses from the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer highlights this spine-tingling, newly introduced beast. The alternative shot depicts it dominating a scientist within a confinement enclosure.
In Jurassic World, there’s an unidentified dinosaur that’s not only gigantic but possesses unique characteristics unlike many other dinosaurs seen before. This creature towers as high as a T-Rex, yet it has limbs in the front that touch the ground, giving it a somewhat gorilla-like appearance, which adds a hint of human likeness to it compared to its Jurassic ancestors.

As per producer Frank Marshall, these latest inventions draw inspiration from real-world elements, yet they’ve undergone certain alterations that depart from their original designs. These modifications are precisely why they were deemed too frightening for the initial theme park.
According to Marshall, these aren’t the typical dinosaurs we know. Some genetic changes have occurred, he explained to Vanity Fair. They are all rooted in genuine dinosaur studies, but they exhibit slightly diverse appearances.
Director Gareth Edwards, with a background in colossal cinematic creatures, drew inspiration for these new monsters from Xenomorphs, the Rancor creature from Star Wars, and dinosaurs seen in previous Jurassic Park films while he was designing them.
Edwards stated that a dash of Rancor, a hint of H.R. Giger, and a smidgen of T-rex were all present,” or more casually, “Edwards said it had bits of Rancor, Giger, and T-rex inside.
Until the arrival of “Rebirth”, it’s unlikely we’ll get a complete, unobstructed glimpse of this dinosaur, yet we can’t help but fear the havoc and dread it might unleash.
Jurassic World Rebirth is set to hit theaters on July 2nd.
