It’s been formally declared that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 is on its way, following closely on the heels of the phenomenal debut of Space Marine 2 just six months ago.
Focus Entertainment is collaborating with Games Workshop and Saber Interactive for a second time, this time on the sequel to their successful third-person shooter game.
On the publisher’s site, they hint at an even more engaging journey in the third installment, promising to remain faithful to the Warhammer 40,000 world, delivering intense, violent, and awe-inspiring gameplay.
It seems like the creation of this latest project is only getting started, which means it might be another couple of years before we can expect to get our hands on it.
According to Focus Entertainment’s deputy CEO John Bert, players should be excited for an engaging storyline, a co-op gameplay option, and new features that will set the bar high for future third-person action titles.
Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive, expresses his enthusiasm. “Space Marine 2 has shown itself to be a groundbreaking game for us,” he notes. “It represents the pinnacle of our knowledge gained over 25 years in the gaming industry. We’re now embarking on the development of Space Marine 3, a title that comes with immense anticipation from our rapidly growing fanbase.
Fans of Space Marine 2 can expect a steady stream of new and engaging content, as well as frequent updates, over the next few years according to developers Bert and Karch. This means that the game is likely to remain active and evolving, rather than being put on hold or neglected in the near future.
