Justin Theroux won’t be running point at this year’s Met Gala.
Indeed, during the TopMob @ Poker Face Season Two Premiere live stream on May 1st, he admitted to Will Marfuggi and Erin Lim Rhodes that he would regrettably be away.
Although Justin won’t be able to make it to this year’s gala themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, he views the evening as an opportunity for mischief.
He playfully remarked, “I’m not known for wild parties like in ‘The Hangover’,” he said. “After all, attending the Met usually leads to some form of minor mischief.
While the Met Gala itself may not be overly extravagant, it’s during the subsequent events that potential issues might arise.
As for those types of evenings, they can change unexpectedly,” the 53-year-old explained. “Typically, the third stop is where you might find yourself in a bit of trouble when attending something extravagant and glamorous, such as the Golden Globes. You attend the after party thinking it’s great, but then at the third venue, it’s best to apply the emergency brakes and decide it’s time to head home.
Currently, rather than spending evenings at numerous parties across different locations, Justin is basking in the joy of newlywed life, having just married Nicole Brydon Bloom.
He mentioned that their marriage is relatively new, having only been around for slightly over a month. As such, they are simply cherishing and enjoying this early stage together.
Fortunately, unlike his season on Poker Face, his wedding was nothing like the mysterious events that transpired there. In fact, he jokingly hinted at it by saying, “There’s a murder mystery at a wedding.
In a playful and candid manner, I’ll share with you an exclusive snippet of how I managed to secure a spot in the captivating Peacock series, where the talented Natasha Lyonne brings the character of human lie detector, Charlie Cale, to life. However, I’ve been sworn to secrecy about any extra tidbits of information!
The Leftovers alum playfully said, “I guess this is how things go in Hollywood,” implying that Natasha invites you to her show by calling and saying something like, “Hey, would you like to be on my program?” She accidentally sent me the wrong episode. I was delighted, so I replied, “Yes, I adore it! Of course, let’s work together, Natasha!
He added, “Then she mentioned, ‘Hold on, that’s not the video. My apologies, I mistakenly sent it to you.’ She forwarded the following episode instead, and I responded, ‘Alright, I’ll watch that one as well.’
