Kagurabachi Caps Rakuzaichi Arc With a Major Death

As a long-time fan of Kagurabachi, I must say that the ending of the Rakuzaichi Arc has left me both amazed and saddened. The latest chapter (43) was a poignant reminder of the cost of ambition and the weight of legacy, a theme that has been subtly woven throughout the series.

“In the latest installment of Kagurabachi, I’ve witnessed the conclusion of the Rakuzaichi Arc. The final battle ended dramatically with a significant character death that left me stunned. Throughout this arc, I’ve been following Chihiro Rokuhira’s journey at the Rakuzaichi auction, and she’s come closer than ever to acquiring a new Enchanted Blade. However, unlike the first two blades we’ve seen in action, the Shinuchi is a much darker and intense power that has added a somber tone to the series. As the Rakuzaichi arc reaches its climax, I wasn’t prepared for the depressing turn the final fight took, making it a far cry from the exhilarating battles fans had anticipated.”

I found myself in a tight spot as Kyora Sazanami activated the formidable power of the Shinuchi in the last chapter. Its current wielder began to overpower me, causing the subspace I had kept open to start collapsing. In a desperate attempt to save those still trapped within it before it completely crumbled, I rushed through the dissolving space. However, despite my best efforts, Kyora’s relentless battle against the Shinuchi ultimately proved to be my undoing. I failed to hold on, succumbing to its power and losing consciousness.

Kagurabachi 43: A New Death to End the Rakuzaichi Arc

In Chapter 43 of Kagurabachi, Kyora’s subspace is deteriorating rapidly, and Hakuri struggles to maintain it for long enough to save all the imprisoned souls and release them. As Kyora reminisces about his past, he recalls his wife reproaching him for prioritizing the Rakuzaichi auction over his family. Yet, despite these memories, the sense of pride instilled in him by his father keeps him from succumbing to the Shinuchi’s influence.

1. In the end, Chihiro manages to save the captives, yet he ends up trapped in the subspace, beside a feeble Kyora. Leaving the Shinuchi behind, his last thoughts are filled with regret over pushing Hakuri away due to their difference in family background. Recognizing this as a breach of his fatherly duty, it’s evident that he perishes in the chapter’s closing moments, succumbing to the damage inflicted by the Shinuchi’s power.

I was amazed when Kyora managed to resist the allure of the Enchanted Blade. But now that the auction is over, another perilous Enchanted Blade is within my reach. It’s a question of whether or not I can seize it after considering the risks it poses.
