Kailyn Lowry’s son Isaac is reintroducing himself.

The teenager who was featured on MTV’s “Teen Mom” from 2011 to 2022 announced that he will now go by his middle name, Elliott, following his transition to a different high school.

During the June 6th episode of her Barely Famous podcast, Kailyn clarified that all the documents were written as ‘Elliott’. She added, “The teachers wrote Elliott and it was like, ‘Feedback about Elliott.’ And I thought to myself, ‘Hold on. Are we referring to Elliott from now on?’

The affirmative response was given, and the mother of seven – Lincoln, 11, with ex-spouse Javi Marroquin; Lux, 8, and Creed, 4, with ex Chris Lopez; Rio, 2, as well as 19-month old twins Verse and Valley with Elijah Scott – acknowledged that adjusting to the changes has been a process.

She told her son, who was with her on the podcast, “You’ve always been known as Isaac to everyone.” She continued, “As we adjust to calling you Elliott, it’s becoming more natural. Interestingly, Creed, who is four, has already started referring to you as Elliott, and it’s quite amusing. He asks, ‘Who is my brother Elliott?’ It seems so effortless for him.

But Kailyn couldn’t be happier for her son and his decision.

The 33-year-old remarked, “It’s impressive to see the distinction between your past and present self, and I believe it’s admirable of you to acknowledge this change. It’s also commendable that you choose what makes you feel at ease.

She expressed that it’s crucial for both him and our family to stick with the plan, and she doesn’t want to deprive him of this moment. In another post, she asked for everyone’s support for her son as he shares his story this week. She mentioned that she would tackle other matters at a more convenient time.

Moreover, their extensive family background is always lively, but the strong connection among them serves as a robust base.

Before the meeting, Kailyn playfully hinted at her discussion with her eldest son, emphasizing how special it was for him to be featured on her program.

In a TikTok video on June 4th, she expressed, “I’m with my son Elliott, and I truly hope you’re all prepared for today’s episode. It carries significant importance not just for us as a family but also for Elliott personally.

In response to Elliott’s declaration, Kailyn chose to disregard the commotion – temporarily.

In another TikTok post, she expressed that it’s crucial for both him and our family that things proceed as planned, and she doesn’t wish to rob this moment from him. Therefore, she kindly asks everyone to support her son and his message during this week, and she will tackle any remaining issues at a later point in time.

Furthermore, with so many branches in their family history, there’s always something exciting happening. Yet, it is the strong connection they have that forms a sturdy base for them all.

In November, Kailyn shared with TopMob News that her children have a strong bond of affection for one another. She couldn’t be more pleased with them, as they are truly exceptional kids.

It seems that her initial months with Rio motivated her to continue the celebration, as she found being a mother of four challenging compared to having five, but attributed that difficulty to number four being so lively. However, she finds number five exceptional and stated that if all her babies were like him, she would gladly have ten more.

In the autumn of 2023, around late October, Kailyn officially stepped into motherhood of girls when Verse and Valley, her second and third kids with partner Elijah, were born.

Kailyn’s valley, named after her childhood spent in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, experienced a more extended stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to some feeding challenges compared to her brother.

On the January 2024 episode of Barely Famous, Kailyn stated that she had never encountered a baby who wouldn’t wake up for meals or show signs of hunger. This particular infant would just sleep through feeding times. She didn’t exhibit any feeding cues and when attempts were made to feed her, she refused the bottle.

Kailyn, despite still being concerned about the twins’ relationship after their long time apart (as she tries to “attract them back” to restore their bond to how it was before), is overjoyed that her family has now been reunited and complete.

She remarked, “I’m filled with gratitude, appreciation, contentment, joy, and a sense of wholeness.” This happiness has led us to expand our home. We’re truly fortunate. They are wonderful infants.
