Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Ex Steals Her Dream Baby Name for His Puppy!

Kaitlyn Bristowe wants to put ex Jason Tartick in the doghouse.

In a recent disclosure, the 39-year-old woman shared that her ex-boyfriend, who they dated for four years prior to their 2023 split, named his new golden retriever using the child’s name she had always desired.

On the April 3rd edition of her Off the Vine podcast, Kaitlyn expressed, “I find it rather sad and unkind to call a dog by a name,” then hesitated and questioned, “Am I being too direct?

However, having reassured her close friend and guest Kat Campbell that the name Teddy was no longer being considered for her, Kaitlyn pressed forward regardless.

She clarified, ‘I’m making it plain: I’m absolutely past him.’ She ended the relationship because she felt uncomfortable in it. Instead, she wanted to adopt a dog and give it a name she had cherished for ten years – her dream baby name, ‘Teddy’. In fact, on the day they first met, she told him, ‘I plan to name my child Teddy.’

Instead of originating from residual emotions, Kaitlyn pondered over the reason for her intense hurt.

She explained, “It might appear as though I’m upset, but it’s more about my aversion towards being disregarded. The way I was treated for so long made me feel invalidated, and now that I see others recognizing the same things I did, I realize, ‘I wasn’t crazy, I just perceived what others are seeing now.’

The Bachelor Nation alum also noted that, ultimately, she and Jason weren’t “aligned.”

She expressed that her desires in life differ from his, which explains why they should not be a couple. She isn’t enraged; instead, she feels repulsed and disheartened.

Kaitlyn added, “I believe this might mark the end of my discussions about him. It was refreshing to not talk about him for a while, as it felt liberating to let go.

Instead, Jason sought suggestions from his followers to name his new furry companion, eventually choosing the name Teddy.

He posted on Instagram, “My recently-adopted pal is still nameless,” (March 5). “I’ve got a few names in mind for him, but I’d be thrilled if you could share your suggestions too! Coincidentally, the day I decided to help out at the rescue was the very same day they rescued him from the local shelter. Our bond formed instantly.

Although Rango as Teddy’s previous name wasn’t a terrible choice, he mentioned, “I’m pondering something new. Feel free to suggest some names that might suit him!

And indeed, one of the post’s top comments read, “Sooo cute! Teddy would be cute!”

Status: Engaged

On his initial night at the Bachelor mansion, Grant Ellis might have encountered 25 possible romantic prospects, but it was Juliana Pasquarosa who ultimately received his final rose. As they plan their wedding, the future bride shared her primary focus for their special day.

In a chat with TopMob News back in March 2025, I shared my heartfelt belief: “Regardless of the setting or its appearance, what truly matters is that it’s filled with love and every member of our family is present.” For us, it’s all about creating memorable moments together, no matter the activity we engage in.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Joan Vassos, who previously left Gerry Turner’s season on The Golden Bachelor early, found her perfect match during the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. She exchanged rings with contestant Chock Chapple in the finale of the show. In a touching moment at the November 2024 finale, Joan expressed that their journey serves as a testament to hope, regardless of life’s challenges, even at their advanced age. As she stood on the breathtaking shores of Bora Bora, Chock took the opportunity to express his deepest feelings: “I have waited for this moment in this incredible location to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you each morning, and I want to kiss you goodnight every night.

In the season finale of “The Bachelorette” (season 21), it seemed like former contestant Jenn Tran, aged 26, had found her perfect match in Devin Strader. However, during a post-finale special called “After the Final Rose”, which took place in September, Jenn disclosed that Devin, also 28, turned cold towards her as soon as filming ended.

During the September 3rd episode, Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer that the man she was involved with had been expressing strong declarations of affection one day, only to act as if he never felt anything the next. She added that all the promises and love he had expressed towards her seemed to have vanished.

As an over-the-moon fanatic, I couldn’t help but be on the edge of my seat as Devin spilled the beans by posting a heartfelt 13-minute video on Instagram, detailing his perspective of the events that unfolded. In this video, he not only accepted responsibility but also gave us a peek behind the curtains to understand why he chose to end our connection in a lengthy 15-minute phone call.

During the phone conversation in August, Jenn asserted that he ended their relationship then. However, he stated that she insisted on knowing why and was trying to figure out how to tell her in person, rather than over the phone.

He admitted that he wasn’t sure about any other options, implying he had been holding off on telling her face-to-face. Essentially, she made him take action.

After that, Jenn gracefully moved towards the stage of Dancing With the Stars, and speculations about her blossoming relationship with Sasha Farber persist, as they’ve been fueling romance rumors since their elimination on October 29th.

Status: Split

In November 2022, Greg Grippo, who was one of Katie Thurston’s suitors on The Bachelorette the previous year, appeared alongside Victoria Fuller in the finale of Bachelor in Paradise season eight. During their time there, they declared that they were in a relationship. However, in April 2024, Greg disclosed that they had ended their relationship.

Prior to Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo making their relationship official during the final episode of Bachelor in Paradise’s 8th season, Victoria Fuller and Johnny DePhillipo had called off their engagement.

Status: Divorced

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023, during the grand finale of the debut season of “Golden Bachelor”. They officially wed in a televised ceremony held in January 2024.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

During an interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry stated, “Theresa and I have shared many deep conversations about our relationship and our living arrangement. We’ve carefully examined our situation. As a result, we both believe it’s likely that we should end our marriage.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

In a delightful turn of events, after seeking the affection of 32 potential partners, tennis professional Joey Graziadei found his ideal companion in project manager Kelsey Anderson. With a heart full of anticipation, he expressed his deep affection to his chosen one during their March 2024 season finale, “I can’t hold back any longer to tell you that I am deeply in love with you.” He then knelt down on one knee, revealing, “There’s something about you. Your energy is contagious and makes me grin ear-to-ear. It’s a sensation I’ve never experienced before.”

As he envisioned their eternal bond, he added, “I’ve always imagined having a splendid life, but I must admit that I didn’t know just how extraordinary it could be until I met you, Kelsey.

Although underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo didn’t initially connect during the ninth season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” they decided to take a leap of faith. John declared his feelings for Kat by presenting an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond, saying, “I’m going to try something a little different today. My heart tells me that you are amazing, and you have everything I’ve been searching for.” However, shortly after the finale, they announced that their career paths were diverging, making it difficult for them to see a future together. They expressed their gratitude for the love and support from their families, friends, and “Bachelor Nation” in a joint Instagram post.

State: Divided
Despite her apprehensions about a Paradise liaison, elegantly attired Eliza Isichei (one of Clayton Echard’s former partners) graciously agreed to Aaron Bryant’s oceanfront proposal. Touched by the software salesman’s gesture of seeking her mother’s approval, she exclaimed, “I knew I was not in charge of the words that would leave my mouth.”
The finale’s conclusion acknowledged that Eliza and her ex, marketing manager Charity, had encountered some difficulties following their return from Mexico. A few days later, they publicly announced their amicable separation.
“Complex feelings watching it all play out,” he posted on Instagram in December 2023. “We’re navigating our friendly split with nothing but positivity and mutual respect for each other.

Nurse Kylee Russell was disappointed when her boyfriend Aven Jones refused to propose traditionally – a gesture he had reportedly been planning during his courtship with Bachelorette Rachel Recchia. However, she eventually agreed to Aven’s proposal from ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, choosing to leave things as they were and make the relationship work.

This decision meant her chosen engagement dress remained unused. “I just had to do what I felt was right,” she said. “Love is about taking risks.”

Two days after their season finale aired in December 2023, Kylee revealed on Instagram Stories that their relationship had ended due to multiple instances of infidelity. Aven later issued an apology to Kylee, admitting, “I have made serious mistakes in our relationship and caused harm to someone I cared about deeply.

In a chat with TopMob News, Charity Lawson playfully expressed her contentment with the unfolding events of the season. However, her August 2023 grand finale was more than she hinted at when integrative medicine specialist Dotun Olubeko got down on one knee and declared their love as “perfect.” Addressing Charity, who is a child and family therapist, he asked, “Would you do me the honor of making this fairy tale come true?”

Though they haven’t decided on a specific wedding date yet—with possibilities in 2025 or 2026—Charity has another exciting venture to look forward to first. She will be stepping onto the dance floor for the upcoming season of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ Overjoyed, Dotun told Charity on ‘The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose,’ “Baby, I know you love to have fun, dance, and enjoy life. We’ve discussed this opportunity before—how fantastic it would be for you. And I am thrilled to share that you’ll be appearing on ‘Dancing With the Stars!’ Let’s do this!

Status: Set to marry
Zach will have his fairytale ending. Despite a few bumps along the way during Fantasy Suite nights, Zach Shallcross concluded season 27 in March 2023 by proposing. “I am so in love with you,” he said to travel nurse Kaity Biggar. “You are my world. The love I feel for you is something I could have never imagined.”
In July 2023, the couple from Texas took their relationship to the next level by moving in together and sharing the news on Instagram, “Now officially housemates.” They’re currently preparing for their wedding in October 2025.

The status: Broke up

Well, it seems like Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who both appeared on different seasons of “The Bachelor,” initially looked like they were destined for a successful relationship within Bachelor Nation. However, unfortunately, a year after Danielle moved from Nashville to be with Michael in Ohio, they announced their separation. Michael discussed the breakup during an episode of Jason Tartick’s podcast, “Trading Secrets” in September 2023. He expressed that it was painful when the relationship didn’t work out, as both parties had invested a lot into it. When relationships don’t turn out as expected and you realize that love is present but compatibility is lacking, there’s a sense of mourning – not just for the person and the friendship, but also for the future you had imagined together.

Brandon Jones declared his eternal affection for Serene Russell during their proposal on season seven of “Paradise”. However, their relationship didn’t last long after their engagement was shown; they announced their separation five months later in a joint Instagram statement. They explained that maintaining their relationship privately amidst public scrutiny had been incredibly difficult. Despite the pain, they asked for understanding and requested no negativity.

The relationship between pilot Rachel and general contractor Tino Franco came to a halt when he was seen kissing another woman during their 2022 season, which was still being aired. In an interview on “The Viall Files,” he admitted, “I in no way support my actions at all. It wasn’t right, it wasn’t fair to Rachel, and I regret it deeply every day. I feel ashamed of what I did, and if I could do it again, I would change it a million times over.

The story unfolds as follows: Status: Split

Indeed, it was quite an adventure. Susie Evans, during the 2022 finale, initially turned down Bachelor Clayton Echard‘s advances, but later reconnected with him off-screen…only to part ways again six months later.

However, the Los Angeles-based videographer maintains that their separation was justified. In a November 2022 post for her blog “Susie Was Like,” she explained, “People close to me could see that my radiance had dimmed and I wasn’t flourishing.” She acknowledged that they shared many happy moments, but deep down, she felt troubled and out of sync with the best version of herself.

After dating Justin Glaze, a notable figure from Bachelor Nation, Susie later confirmed that they had parted ways as well, announcing their split in August 2024.

Status: They Parted Ways

Minnesota elementary school teacher Michelle received a Neil Lane sparkler from Texas-based sales exec Nayte Olukoya, along with a $200,000 check for their future home. However, the couple found they didn’t have a strong enough connection, announcing their separation six months after their season finale aired in December 2021.

On The Viall Files, Nayte admitted to having many disagreements and fights with Michelle, stating that they didn’t see eye-to-eye. He also acknowledged that not discussing the split in person was “a bit inconsiderate.”

Michelle began dating Jack Leius in 2023 and announced their engagement the following year.

Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian’s idea of a blissful weekend mornings resonated deeply with viewers. However, the Bachelor in Paradise season seven pairing managed to spend just a handful of weekends together.

In a joint statement issued in January 2022, their patient coordinator Maurissa (who was involved with Peter Weber) and attorney Riley (one of Tayshia Adams’ suitors) declared that they were separating. They never anticipated this, but they have reached a stage where they both need to focus on personal growth.

Status: Split

The initial same-sex couple from Bachelor Nation got engaged during the sixth season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, but they revealed their separation in October 2019, which happened to be Halloween.

In their shared statement on Instagram, they expressed that their deep affection and concern for each other has always been the foundation of their relationship. They prioritize what’s best for them as a couple. With hearts heavy with love, they have made the difficult decision to step back from their relationship. In essence, they desire what is ultimately beneficial for them, and at this time, that means growing separately.

Abigail announced on Instagram in July 2023 that they were about to embark on their “Chip and Joanna Gaines” era, as she bought her first house. She expressed excitement for the new chapter and the memories they would create there. Before moving, Noah proposed at a beachfront home in San Diego in August 2023, signaling the start of their wedding plans.

Becca Kufrin, ex-Bachelorette, and Thomas Jacobs, a contestant from Katie Thurston’s season, started dating during ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ season seven in 2021. They split up while the show was still airing, but reconciled post-production. In May 2022, they announced their engagement, with Becca being the one to propose. She expressed her hope that others would feel empowered to break traditional norms. Thomas reciprocated this sentiment in October. Their son Benson arrived in September 2023, and Becca shared on Instagram, “Our love for this tiny man is indescribable.” Just weeks after welcoming Benson, the couple got married in a surprise ceremony held on Oct. 13, 2023.

In the final episode of season 17 of “The Bachelorette” in 2021, Katie became engaged to Blake Moynes. Their affection for each other was expressed during their overnight date, which included a paintball adventure, a cowboy bath, and a chat under the night sky.

Bending down on a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You’re worth the whole world, and I’m thrilled to assist you and stand by your side each day from now on.

Approximately three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the couple revealed their separation. In identical statements, they expressed their gratitude for the shared moments and the entire journey over the past year, but acknowledged that they are not well-suited as life partners. They felt it was the kindest decision for both of them to proceed separately. Now, she is set to marry comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated

In the time since Matt and graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell parted ways during his 2021 season (before briefly reconciling), they’ve been plagued with breakup speculations. TopMob News reported an exclusive interview with Matt at a Baskin-Robbins event on July 18, where he suggested everyone should take a break from social media. He stated that since people are so engrossed in their phones, any absence is perceived as a catastrophe.

Despite the rumors, Matt maintained that marriage was still their ultimate goal. In an interview with TopMob News in May 2022, he emphasized that they move at their own pace and that rushing into engagement could lead to the downfall of other relationships. However, less than three years later, Matt confirmed that he and Rachael had once again parted ways.

On January 16, 2025, Matt shared a throwback photo from The Bachelor on Instagram and wrote, “Father God, give Rachael and I the strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that surpasses human understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord.

Status: Split

Having taken over for Clare Crawley during the 2020 season of The Bachelorette, I found myself drawn to Zac Clark. Our journey together, while initially leading to an engagement, was not without its highs and lows – a fact that I, as the former lead turned co-host, admitted later on.

Being in a new relationship and then disappearing for a few weeks can be challenging, right?” she expressed candidly and truthfully on the The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast in August 2021.

Afterward, it seemed as though we needed to recall what brought us together in the first place. This is completely understandable, she added. However, it was reported by TopMob News in November 2021 that they had decided to part ways.

Status: Split

I became smitten beyond belief with Dale Moss during season 16 of The Bachelorette. Intriguingly, we were engaged by the fourth episode. However, the unexpected twists didn’t end there. Weeks after my replacement Tayshia found her own engagement, Dale publicly shared via social media that our love story with the hairdresser had already run its course.

Approximately a month later, whispers of reconciliation swirled when they were seen together once more. Fast-forwarding to July 2021, following numerous reunions, Clare and Dale had fully reconciled—with a ring on it too. However, in September of the same year, they decided to part ways again. Now, Clare is happily married to Ryan Dawkins and expecting their first child together.

Following a short engagement with winner Hannah Ann Sluss and later a separation from runner-up Madison Prewett, fans eagerly anticipated that the third time would work out for Peter. Unfortunately, his relationship with The Bachelor season 24’s Kelley Flanagan didn’t last, as the pilot announced on New Year’s Eve 2020 that their nine-month romance had ended.

Pete shared on Instagram, “Though our bond held many cherished moments, unfortunately it didn’t sustain in the long run. However, Kelley remains someone I hold a unique affection towards.

In 2022, the couple made another attempt at flying again, but later disclosed in May that their relationship had come to an end.

After the intense 2020 finale, the couple shared on Instagram that they wouldn’t continue their romantic involvement. In essence, Peter stated, “Madi and I have jointly decided not to progress our relationship any further. It wasn’t easy for either of us, but after heartfelt discussions, we both agreed this was the best course for us. The affection and regard I have for Madi will persist.

In her statement, Madi expressed, “I’ll continue to cherish and admire him. I strongly believe that our lives were destined to intersect, making us both richer for it.

Status: Split

During season 24 of The Bachelor, Peter and Hannah Ann had a short engagement. Regrettably, by the second part of the finale, it became clear that they were experiencing difficulties only a month into their exclusive relationship. More specifically, Hannah Ann was taken aback when she discovered Peter still harbored feelings for Madison.

For as long as I can remember, all I’ve yearned for is to be given someone’s complete devotion, just like the passion I pour into them. And unfortunately, that dream was shattered by you, when you ended our initial engagement.”

“You snatched it from me. It’s heartbreaking because I placed my trust in you, a trust you’ve always asked me to extend. ‘Please be patient with me. Have faith in me.’
