The intriguing map-based RPG titled “KAMiBAKO: Mythology of Cube” is set to debut on January 30 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for PC. This exciting announcement comes from Gravity Game Arise. Players can enjoy the game in English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Japanese, depending on their preference. For those playing on PC, they’ll also have the option to switch to Japanese text.
Initially, the game titled “KAMiBAKO: Mythology of Cube” was unveiled on August 29, 2024, exclusively in Japan. Upon its debut, the game was only available in Japanese. However, when the international version becomes accessible, the price of the Japanese edition will be slashed by approximately 3,600 yen.

A Sprawling Overworld
Explore the vast and diverse continent of Noahtun, teeming with both land and sea, where each season offers a unique charm. As you journey through this open world, the terrain will reveal itself as you progress. What lies hidden in the unexplored corners of this world? Could it be new experiences, conflicts, or maybe a moment of division? Discover for yourself by venturing to every nook and cranny of this land.
Puzzles
As a Restorer, I tackle unique missions known as Restoration Puzzles. Solving these brain-teasers allows me to mend the once fractured terrain, returning it to its original, unscathed condition.
Map-Crafting
If the land remains undivided, it offers an opportunity for transformation into a self-sustaining territory with farmlands, structures, and additional amenities. This allows for crop cultivation and resource extraction. As development progresses, more resources become accessible, and you might even find shopping venues. Once a sufficient number of facilities are in place and the area is secured by fences, walls, or entryways, it will evolve into a village or town, at which point you can bestow it with a distinctive name.
Battle
As you delve into unexplored territories, diverse creatures could emerge. These beings might cause harm or destruction to the environment they inhabit. Therefore, it’s crucial to deal with them tactfully, leveraging the support of your allies. When combat ensues, your allies will launch attacks autonomously. Your role as the Restorer is to dispense Mana to them during the battle. By bestowing Mana, you empower their weapon skills, gradually enabling them to unleash an extraordinarily potent attack.
Story
Long ago…
In an instant, it felt like the game world I was in crumbled around me, shattering into countless cubes. Chaos ensued as life after life was snuffed out, leaving only ruin in its wake. And from this catastrophe, new challenges arose – unrelenting storms and tempests that left no land or water untouched.
The balance of the world was offset, and people’s lives were forever changed.
The catastrophic event, referred to as “fragmentation,” persisted globally, transforming landscapes into a grid-like pattern with no end in sight.
In order to bring balance back to the world, the goddess Chroem chose a special person for the job of “Reconstructor,” responsible for repairing and renewing the damaged lands. This individual was assigned a global quest, tasked with the restoration of everything that had been lost or ruined.
