Kaos: Netflix’s Most-Watched Cancelled Show in 2024 Revealed!

In October when it was cancelled, fans of the show Kaos expressed disappointment because they wouldn’t get another installment featuring the quirky take on Greek mythology.

As critics question Netflix’s choice to cancel the show, new viewership numbers for Kaos have come to light, offering a glimpse into its overall performance.

According to the recent update from our favorite streamer, it turned out that the canceled show “Kaos” garnered the highest viewership among all their shows during the latter part of 2024, amassing a total of 20.3 million views over a six-month span.

Last year, it was reported by Forbes that the initial viewing numbers were impressive, reaching 3.4 million views within just a few days of its online premiere. In its first complete week, these figures increased to a total of 5.9 million views.

In other words, during the following five and a half months, Kaos garnered an additional 11 million views.

To provide a point of reference, some fresh Netflix series debuted during the latter part of the previous year that have since been renewed. These include Nobody Wants This with 56.8 million total views, Black Doves garnering 38.8 million, and Supacell boasting 34.5 million views.

Covell outlined: “I’ve been thinking about a total of three seasons. It’s an idea that’s been swirling around in my mind, and I’d be thrilled to explore further possibilities.

Regarding potential developments in the storyline, Covell mentioned: “Many elements are coming together. I have a sense of where the plot might lead.

As the news of its cancellation was confirmed by Netflix, I, as a movie enthusiast, found myself reflecting on “Covell’s” unique take on the situation. In a statement, he said, “There’s no renewal.” This remark, strikingly metaphorical even in the context of cancellation, left me intrigued and admiring the showrunner’s clever wordplay.

Absolutely, I’m disappointed not to create more chaos in the series, but I don’t want this information to eclipse the amazing work we’ve already accomplished. It was a privilege to collaborate with such an extraordinarily talented group of actors and crew members, and I am immensely proud of what we achieved together on our show.
