Actor Nabhaan Rizwan, who stars in Netflix’s Kaos, recently shared insights into his experience collaborating with veteran actor Jeff Goldblum on their mythological comedy-drama production.
In this fictional setting, the storyline explores a contemporary era in which deities from Greek mythology are acknowledged as real entities. Their influence significantly alters the human realm through a myriad of intriguing, unforeseen circumstances.
In the first season, Rizwan takes on the role of Dionysus, the son of Zeus portrayed by Goldblum. Throughout the series, they share several standout scenes together, but as Dionysus yearns for more esteem and power, their relationship gradually fades.
Rizwan started by saying that working with Jeff is always an enjoyable spectacle. He’s genuine and straightforward; exactly as he seems. Every second is engaging, and you can expect him to burst into song, encouraging you to join in too!

He went on saying, “Our discussions between a father and son… Upon our initial encounter, he remarked, ‘We bear such a resemblance. Don’t you have those same eyes?’ To which I responded, ‘Indeed! We might easily pass for father and son.'”
“We discussed my desire to portray Dionysus, and his response was enthusiastic and affirmative. We ended up playing the role together, and it turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable experience.”
Prior to the debut of the show, Jeff Goldblum, who is known for his roles in Jurassic Park and The Fly, also had an interview with TopMob about bringing fresh life to the classic characters from Greek mythology in this upcoming series created by Charlie Covell, the mind behind “The End of the F***ing World”.
Regarding his portrayal of the god of gods, the actor shared: “He is quite terrifying. Zeus’s harshness stems from a strained family dynamic. His father attempted to murder him, as well as his siblings.”
