Karen Pirie Season 2 Release Confirmed for This Summer

After approximately a year since filming for the second season of ITV detective drama “Karen Pirie” commenced, there’s now some exciting news about when we might be able to watch the upcoming episodes.

She mentioned, “The second season of my series, Karen Pirie, will be released this summer,” she shared, which is thrilling news as it’s been quite some time since we wrapped up filming it.

I can’t contain my excitement for its release on ITV during Sunday evenings! This installment revolves around the abduction of a wealthy heiress, making it even more grand and thrilling. I’m eager for everyone to witness it!

Kenny added that the initial season’s response was quite pleasant, and she aimed to deliver something equally impressive to the audience.

In a natural and easy-to-read manner, we could say: Kenny has transformed the book series penned by Val McDermid, with the second season drawing inspiration from “A Darker Domain”.

In the upcoming season, Lauren Lyle will reprise her role as the main character, joined by Kenny who plays River, Chris Jenks portraying DC Jason ‘Mint’ Murray, Zach Wyatt as DS Phil Parhatka, Steve John Shepherd taking on DCS Lees, and Rakhee Thakrar as Bel Richmond.

This season, we have some fresh faces joining us: Saskia Ashdown, James Cosmo, Frances Tomelty, and John Michie.

Most recently, Lyle made an appearance in the BBC drama titled “The Bombing of Pan Am 103”. Interestingly, just like “Karen Pirie”, this series is also under the production house of World Productions.
