Next week, my plans for a legal wedding with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) might face some unexpected hurdles on EastEnders.
On the 12th of June 2025, the couple shared some touching, informal promises, and they joyously commemorated this special moment in Albert Square.
However, their joy is abruptly halted as son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) finds himself embroiled in a distressing predicament involving his friend Joel Marshall (Max Murray). Regrettably, Joel crosses a boundary by inappropriately touching a young woman.
As a devoted movie-goer putting myself in their shoes, I’m utterly appalled by Joel’s actions and can’t help but feel my heart ache for Tommy. Meanwhile, Kat finds herself consumed with worry over Tommy’s wellbeing, considering all that the family has endured already.
Despite her best efforts, she’s struggling to reach Alfie for a conversation about Tommy. However, even after they manage to speak, Kat remains deeply troubled regarding the issue at hand.
In this captivating film, I found myself on the edge of my seat as it became clear that poor Tommy was in grave danger. The cunning Vicki Fowler, skillfully portrayed by Alice Haig, was poised to accuse him of Joel’s misdeeds unless Tommy remained silent. Little did he know the trouble brewing behind those calculating eyes!
As Kat starts to suspect that Alfie might be concealing something from her, given his multitude of concerns such as helping out Jean Slater (played by Gillian Wright).
Soon, Alfie has a mysterious call from Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) to deal with.
Once more, Kat attempts to discuss her concerns regarding Tommy with Alfie; however, it’s evident that he’s struggling, appearing utterly discombobulated about their upcoming visit to the registry office.
As I eagerly anticipate their upcoming nuptials, I can’t help but wonder if distractions might derail Alfie’s focus. Will this time around, the third attempt at matrimony become a reality for him and Kat? The countdown to the big day is on, let’s hope love conquers all!
Afterward, I confide in Kat that I must travel to Australia to check on my younger brother Spencer (Christopher Parker). He’s currently going through a rough patch down under.
But is there more going on with Alfie than meets the eye, and can he step up for Kat and Tommy?
