Amid the fight of her life, Katie Thurston is a bachelorette no more.
As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share the heartwarming news that Jeff Arcuri, beloved Bachelor Nation alum and hilarious comedian, recently took a big leap in their life journey by getting married! They broke this joyous news on their Instagram Stories on March 23. This delightful update arrives six months after they made their engagement public, and just a month following Katie’s announcement about her breast cancer diagnosis. The couple’s resilience and unity amidst these challenges is truly inspiring.
On March 22nd, Jeff, aged 37, was married by his 34-year-old partner in a heartfelt backyard ceremony at their residence. Their newly adopted dog, Charlie, and both sets of parents were present for the occasion, according to Us Weekly’s report. Later on, they continued their celebration with a dinner at a restaurant in New York City.
In a recent post, the star of “The Bachelorette” show displayed pictures where she donned a long, knitted maxi dress in cream color, while her companion, Jeff, opted for a khaki suit without a tie.
According to the report, the couple got married five days prior, with Katie scheduled to start her cancer treatment soon. It’s mentioned that she will participate in the I-Spy breast cancer study, potentially requiring multiple sessions of chemotherapy. Following this, she intends to have surgery.
Katie and Jeff, who connected on Instagram in the spring, are looking forward to a larger wedding featuring unique vows once she overcomes cancer. She shared with Us her sentiments about their upcoming marriage, saying, “His act of promising ‘in sickness and in health’ truly resonates.” She continued, “He consistently demonstrates his commitment by being present every day, and the ways he does so never cease to amaze me.
Jeff has stood by his future spouse, Katie, during her medical odyssey that encompasses two main aspects. Specifically, Katie has been undergoing IVF treatment along with her partner in an attempt to generate embryos for freezing, with the intention of attempting conception once her cancer treatments are completed.
One hour following their wedding announcement, Katie posted a video on Instagram Stories, showing herself seated in a hospital room with an IV drip, accompanied by Jeff. Nearby was a table set up with non-alcoholic beverages. In the clip, she announced, “Jeff and I are starting our honeymoon with some refreshments!” She then raised her glass, toasting, “Here’s to husband and wife!
