Kehlani’s Ex Javaughn Young-White Accuses Her of Being in a Cult

Kehlani's Ex Javaughn Young-White Accuses Her of Being in a Cult

As a devoted fan who has followed Javaughn Young-White and Kehlani’s journey since their days together on social media, I am truly heartbroken to see this unfold. The joy and love they once shared seems like a distant memory now.

Javaughn Young-White is taking legal action against ex Kehlani.

He claimed that the singer who dated him between 2018 and 2019, famously known as “The After Hours Singer”, was preventing him from seeing their daughter Adeya Parrish, who is 5 years old. In his court filing on July 24, obtained by TopMob News, he alleged that certain decisions about their daughter’s welfare were being made by a cult-like group.

The 27-year-old asked the court for both legal and physical guardianship of Adeya, stating in the court papers that “others seem to have more influence over the raising of our daughter than I do.”

TopMob News has reached out to Kehlani’s rep for comment, but has not heard back.

It was claimed in court documents that Adeya is being raised in a potentially hazardous setting. The documents also stated that Kehlani has been part of this cult for several years now, giving the impression that this cult influences her decisions and actions, even affecting how they raise their shared daughter.

The cult leader reportedly had a belief that Young-White posed a threat to Adeya, which led to Kehlani prohibiting him from seeing their daughter for several months and denying him the opportunity to look after their daughter during her tours.

He claimed that Kehlani often entrusts her daughter to individuals associated with a cult, among them being the cult leader. This individual, as alleged by Young-White, has faced multiple accusations of inappropriate behavior towards women and minors, including sexual misconduct.

In the records, Young-White stated that the cult leader conducts ‘spiritual rituals’ with their daughter, yet no one is permitted inside during these rituals. On her birthday in 2023, I discovered this, and when I tried to get our daughter, members of the cult stopped me physically and threatened me.

Young-White is requesting the court’s intervention as he fears that if it does not act, his daughter will remain under the care of individuals known for drug abuse and affiliated with a cult, rather than staying with him, her father.

Besides filing a petition to establish legal paternity, Young-White clarified that Adeya was born at home under the guidance of what he refers to as a cult. He added that since her birth didn’t occur in a traditional hospital setting, his name is not listed on Adeya’s birth certificate.

Young-White is requesting a duplicate of Adeya’s birth certificate so he can have his name included on it, thereby acquiring a copy for himself. Additionally, he wants to legally change his name to Adeya Parrish-Young-White. In this process, he also seeks access to Adeya’s social security number.

In his filing, he expressed a desire for the court to legally identify him as the child’s father. This is crucial so that I can fully exercise all the parental rights that are associated with being a father.

Additionally, he asked for Kehlani to undergo a psychological evaluation to help ascertain if she might be experiencing symptoms of bipolar disorder.

Young-White expressed in the document that he does not intend to criticize Kehlani harshly. Nevertheless, the lifestyle she has cultivated for herself is not suitable for a child’s upbringing, he stated. Consequently, he petitions the court for guidance and protection, fearing that if action isn’t taken promptly, it may be too late to safeguard his daughter.

Regarding Kehlani, who kicks off her Crash World Tour in Minneapolis this coming September, she hasn’t made any public comments about the allegations leveled against her.
