Keke Palmer Says Ryan Murphy “Ripped” Into Her During Scream Queens

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood dynamics and a deep respect for those who navigate its tumultuous waters, I must say Keke Palmer’s experiences on the sets of her projects, particularly Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, are a stark reminder of the power dynamics that can sometimes exist in the industry.

Keke Palmer has a bit of her own horror story about working with Ryan Murphy.

31-year-old Keke Palmer recounted an incident she claims happened with the producer during her work on his show, “Scream Queens.” In her new book “Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Story,” she delved into a moment when a scheduling conflict escalated into a bigger problem.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Keke initially intended to work on another project during her break from filming Scream Queens. However, when production required her presence on set, she decided to fulfill her duties instead. Subsequently, Ryan reportedly criticized her harshly and labeled her as “unprofessional.

In her conversation with the Los Angeles Times (Nov. 11), she described the situation as being similar to a discussion in the dean’s office. He expressed surprise by saying, “I’ve never seen you act this way before. I can hardly believe that it was you who did something like this.

Keke, the mom of Leodis (age 20 months), recalled speaking with Ryan and assuming all was well, that is, until a fellow colleague shared conflicting information with her.

Previously, the host of “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer” expressed that she thought she would often be chosen by Ryan for acting roles, similar to Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson. However, this aspiration soon dissipated after a certain incident.

In her book, she notes, “I’m still unsure if Ryan truly understood or cared, but it’s alright because his focus was on his business, which is fine by me.” However, what she is certain of is, “even if he didn’t care and we never work together again, he realizes I share the same entrepreneurial spirit as him.

TopMob News has reached out to Ryan’s reps for comment, but has not heard back.

During the filming of Scream Queens, which Keke starred in from 2015-2016, her only other issue didn’t stem from Ryan. Instead, as detailed in her book, she alleges an encounter with a white co-star (whom she refers to as Brenda) who reportedly made what she considers to be a racially insensitive comment.

Keke mentions an incident where she tried to mediate a dispute between Brenda and another colleague. During this encounter, the actress reportedly said to Keke, “Keke, essentially, mind your own business. Do you honestly believe you’re someone like Martin Luther King?

But despite the significance of the remark, the True Jackson VP alum said that she didn’t allow the moment to shape her.

Keke shared with the Los Angeles Times that what she said was significant, but she didn’t let it burden her. She explained, ‘I’m not a victim. That’s not my narrative, darling.’ Regardless of what she might have suggested, I won’t let her words bring me down. If I succumb to her comments, then she has power over me.

Before publishing her book, Keke shared her intentions for scaling back her career in Hollywood.

In a conversation with Teen Vogue on January 30th, Keke expressed her belief that the timer has begun ticking. She is aware that the event is imminent, although she isn’t certain about the exact timing, it’s just around the bend.

Keke mentioned that when she decides to leave show business, she hopes the industry will be improved compared to its state when she first entered as a child actor.

In simpler terms, the Hustlers star expressed that she desires her legacies to serve as a reminder for others to wield their power positively, to utilize their resources to establish environments and systems where others can prosper. She is against the notion of hoarding everything.
