It turns out that the proud parents were thrilled to share about their 22-year-old son, Joaquin Consuelos, who successfully completed his studies at the University of Michigan on May 3. Naturally, they couldn’t help but express their excitement about his graduation on the television show Live! With Kelly and Mark.

In a recent episode on May 5th, Kelly, aged 54, enthusiastically shared that she and her family had just come back from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where their newborn baby had completed university studies. “Indeed, we’ve finished!” she exclaimed.

Meanwhile, the pair, along with their children Michael (age 27) and Lola (age 23), who were also present at the ceremony, eagerly awaited the moment when their youngest would graduate. However, they were uncertain about what to anticipate, as Mark admitted that he and other parents learned crucial details about the graduation only on the day itself.

The Riverdale actor mentioned that there’s quite a bit of essential info parents usually need, such as the time, location, arrival times, and if the tickets are on your phone. He added humorously that Joaquin should have had a well-prepared plan ahead of time, suggesting that at 22, such disorganization might be considered outgrown.

Regardless of the scant guidelines provided, the Ripa-Consuelos family enjoyed their time together. It was on May 1st that Kelly disclosed the graduation celebrations commenced with a grand exhibition, where they watched Joaquin, a theater major, deliver a live performance. The day after, he received his diploma from the Drama School.

Since their youngest child has graduated with his first degree, Kelly might decide to pursue her own education there as well. Around a month before Joaquin’s graduation, the former star of “All My Children,” who had previously dabbled in psychology at Camden County College over two decades ago, hinted that she too was considering returning to school at her son’s university.

In the April 17th episode of Live!, the co-host expressed their ambition: they wish to attend a four-year college and obtain a degree, although they are undecided about what specific field of study they’re interested in.

This year, marking the first September in about two decades without a child starting school, Kelly chose to fill the gap by bringing out an item from 2008 instead.

In March 2022, Kelly decided to have a brief break to witness the Wolverines participating in the Division 1 Wrestling Championships held in Detroit.

As a newcomer, Joaquin decided not to wrestle this time. However, Kelly commented on the show Live, expressing relief on her return, “Seeing these young athletes really felt like it shaved years off my life.

In June 2021, the family was able to travel to both Greece and Italy, a trip that had been postponed due to the unexpected disruptions caused by the pandemic in the previous year.

Kelly mentioned that their family’s graduation trip, initially planned for last year for their oldest son and niece, was postponed so much that it eventually transformed into a trip to celebrate not only their graduations but also the arrivals of the newest members of the family – the newborns.

They took a beautiful family photo during their vacation in the Mediterranean, which Kelly decided to use as their Christmas card for 2021.

From as far back as 2012, Kelly shared this old picture with the caption ‘Happy Easter’, always finding fun in poking her teenage daughter by posting throwbacks on social media.

Mark wished the “spectacular women” in his life a happy International Women’s Day. 

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the loves of my life!” Kelly wrote from the heart on Feb. 14, 2022.

Kelly celebrated the fruits of her labor on National Sons Day, Sept. 28, 2021.

Kelly and Mark’s oldest child, their son Michael Consuelos who was 24 years old at the time, shared this heartwarming throwback picture of him and his mother on her 51st birthday in 2021, expressing, “Happy Birthday, Mom!! I wish you the most fantastic day possible. You’re a remarkable woman and an inspiration to all. When I refer to you as a T-Rex, it’s meant as a compliment – I hope you understand that by now.

In August 2020, Kelly Ripa posted a stunning reenactment of an old family picture from 2003 on Instagram. With her youngest son Joaquin comfortably seated on her lap and her older children Michael and Lola standing appropriately, they managed to perfectly recreate the scene, even though as Kelly pointed out, “things might look bigger.

Back in May 2020, it was a milestone moment for us as Michael, our eldest son, virtually graduated from New York University amidst the challenging times brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. To celebrate this significant achievement, I took to Instagram and penned down my feelings: “Just like that, you’ve graduated college, MJC! The sheer joy and pride you’ve bestowed upon our family is beyond words. My love for you knows no bounds.

In a nostalgic Instagram post, Kelly showcased the amazing growth of her children over the years by comparing 2011 and 2019 photos with the caption, “Walls have become smaller,” highlighting how much smaller those walls (i.e., their childhood homes) seem now compared to back then.
