Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan’s Hilarious Grammys 2025 Loss Reaction

Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan aren’t crying cowboys over this Grammys loss.

Following their loss at the 2024 Grammy Awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance to Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus’ “II Most Wanted”, the “Cowboys Cry Too” singers showed they were taking the Recording Academy’s selection of the song “Cowboy Carter” in stride, preparing to shine at the 2025 ceremony.

Kelsea, elegantly attired for the 67th event held at Crypto.com Arena, playfully captured herself on camera and teasingly posed the question to Noah via her February 2 Instagram Story: “What’s it like to be bypassed for three awards with the same song?

Noah responded with, “Funnily enough, it’s starting to grow on me. I’m currently riding a wave of defeat, yippee!

The singer of “Stick Season” elicited a fit of laughter from Kelsea, who has been dating Chase Stokes since 2023, as they walked towards the red carpet. Kelsea also told her fans, “I’ll see you at the Grammys!” (Check out everyone on the red carpet here.)

As she finished up, the “Miss Me More” artist flashed a thumbs-up and a wide grin to show that she took her loss of the category in stride.

In wrapping things up, the singer behind “Miss Me More” displayed a thumbs-up and a broad smile, demonstrating that she remained unruffled by losing the category.

With the conclusion approaching, the artist of “Miss Me More” signaled her fans with a thumbs-up and a grin, showing she wasn’t overly concerned about not winning the category.

Indeed, the Best Country/Duo Group Performance category was brimming with talented acts. Apart from those already mentioned, songs like “Break Mine” by Brothers Osborne, “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, and “Bigger Houses” by Dan + Shay were also in contention for the nomination. (You can find a list of all the winners so far here.)

Fans keeping tabs on Beyoncé’s recent transition into country music might not find it astonishing that she snatched one of the genre’s major awards during the event. In fact, “Cowboy Carter” garnered 11 nominations for Queen Bey, including recognition in the most significant categories such as Album of the Year and both Song of the Year and Record of the Year for the song “Texas Hold ‘Em.

In the end, the 43-year-old’s popular country song didn’t win Best Country Song as it was surpassed by “The Architect,” a track by Kacey Musgraves from her album “Deeper Well.

Even though Beyoncé has a strong beginning at the Grammys 2025, it’s equally impressive that Miley Cyrus is being recognized alongside her. This duo’s win represents Miley’s third Grammy victory after more than a decade in showbiz. She first tasted success at the 2024 ceremony with her wins for “Flowers”.

The victories might have been announced earlier, but tonight’s event, graciously led by Trevor Noah, is merely getting started. Continue reading to catch glimpses of the most prominent personalities making their grand entrances at the red carpet.
