Kelsea Ballerini’s fellow The Voice coaches have rolled out the welcome mat.
The singer famed for “Peter Pan” won’t step onto the stage as an official coach on NBC’s singing competition until spring, but she’s already dishing out her initial thoughts about fellow coaches John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Adam Levine—and hinting at who shows the most competitive streak.
Kelsea stated to Heather McMahan during the Live From TopMob: People’s Choice Country Awards on Sept. 26, “John has been in that chair for such a long time, and he’s simply so proficient at it that he doesn’t seem very competitive in the traditional sense. Instead of feeling like he’s fighting me aggressively, he’s just so skilled that it feels like he’s being overly kind, which is a unique form of competition.” She continued, “Michael is new, but his kindness is so genuine that it feels like he’s competing in a different way as well.
Kelsea, aged 31, who’s joining Adam’s comeback season for the first time, shared an interesting fact: although he’s been away from the show for the past ten seasons, it seems like he never skipped a beat.
She stated, “Adam walks in; he’s the original contestant from ‘The Voice.’ It’s not wise to argue with him.
Still, she’s excited to take her seat in the iconic red swivel chair, telling TopMob, “It’s wild. It’s been a ride. I can’t wait.”
It has been revealed that in the upcoming season 27, which is scheduled to air in spring 2025, Kelsea and Adam will join John and Michael on the rotating chairs. Notably, this will mark Michael’s debut as a coach in the ongoing season 26.
But while she’ll anchor Team Kelsea for the first time for season 27, the “Dibs” artist is no stranger to The Voice. During season 15 as she mentored eliminated contestants on the Comeback stage and returned the following season as a battle advisor. And during season 20, the “Blindsided” singer filled in briefly for Kelly Clarkson.
Kelsea offered a small sneak-peek to her fans by posting a photo of herself and the other judges, all smiling together on the set.

In simple terms, the 26th season of “The Voice” is being broadcast on NBC right now. Gwen Stefani, Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire are all eagerly waiting to turn their chairs in hope of discovering the next singing sensation.
