Kelsey Grammer Confirms "Conversations" About Beast Return After The Marvels

As a longtime fan of the X-Men universe, I must say that Kelsey Grammer‘s portrayal of Hank McCoy/Beast has been nothing short of iconic for me. His debut in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand was a game changer, and his recent cameo in The Marvels left me absolutely Beasted!

Among all portrayals from Fox’s X-Men film series, Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy/Beast stands out as one of the most cherished. He initially appeared as the character in 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand,” and left fans in awe when he made a surprise appearance in the post-credits scene of last year’s “The Marvels.” This unexpected encounter with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) placed her in a fresh universe alongside Beast and an alternate version of her mom, Maria Rambeau/Binary (Lashana Lynch). In a conversation with ComicBook about the upcoming second season of Frasier, Grammer suggested that discussions have taken place regarding his possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the favorable reception to his cameo in “The Marvels.

As our interview above will reveal, I found myself at a loss for words when it came to discussing the details. However, let me share this much: my appearance at the end of The Marvels seemed to spark quite a reaction! To be honest, I wasn’t completely taken aback by the response, but it was truly extraordinary and almost overwhelming. Consequently, there have been some significant discussions taking place.

Will the MCU Return to The Marvels‘ Post-Credits Scene?

As a diehard fan, I can’t help but be intrigued by the looming multiverse stories Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, wondering how they’ll tie into The Marvels’ post-credits scene. Just like everyone else, I’ve been left guessing about my favorite character’s fate since Lynch herself admitted earlier this year that she too is in the dark about her character’s future.

Lynch responded when asked if Binary was a member of the X-Men, saying, “That question hasn’t been posed to me at all; we haven’t discussed it. I worked on that film for only one day. That’s incredible, considering how significant my role seemed to be. At the time, I was working on Matilda, so that’s quite remarkable. I can’t say for sure. I don’t know. I wasn’t privy to future plans when I worked on it, but I’ve come to appreciate not knowing. It adds a sense of mystery and anticipation that I enjoy. To be honest, I didn’t realize at the time that such a significant event was unfolding. Looking back, though, it seems like part of a long-term plan for the franchise. For me, at least. They might have had it all planned out from the start. As for what’s next, I have no idea, but I’m eager to see where the series goes from here.

As a die-hard Frasier fan, I’m super excited to dive back into the world of my favorite sitcom! Starting September 19, two Season 2 episodes are dropping on Paramount+. From then on, new episodes will roll out every Thursday, giving me a weekly dose of humor and nostalgia right here in the U.S. and Canada!
