Kelsey Parker is finding joy after loss.
Over two years since the passing of Tom Parker, the singer from The Wanted, his widow and mother to their children Aurelia (5) and Bodhi (4), has revealed that she is expecting her and her new partner Will Lindsay’s first child together.
Kelsey shared with The Mirror that she and her late husband had often discussed having four children, but fate had other ideas. She explained this revelation was both thrilling and tinged with sadness as she navigates her new pregnancy journey, reflecting on how her life might have been if her husband were still alive. She’s experienced the full gamut of emotions throughout this process.
34-year-old woman described the arrival of her baby as an unexpected yet joyful event, mentioning that she and her partner, whom she made public in September, are still undecided about when or if they will discover the child’s gender.
She clarified that they haven’t made up their mind about examining [the gender revelation document] just yet. They plan to wait and observe how their journey unfolds instead.
Kelsey mentioned that Aurelia proposed the idea of calling their upcoming baby “Parker,” as a tribute to her deceased dad, Tom. However, right now, she’s simply reveling in the joy of her pregnancy and reminiscing about Tom.
She expressed, “I believe everything is destined to happen as it should. I’m merely seeking happiness in life. My children have been a source of strength during tough times, and now, I feel fortunate to have another. If I focused on all the hardships, I wouldn’t be here today. Tom was my soulmate, and his absence still angers me. However, I cannot live in sorrow. That’s not what Tom would have wanted for me.
Indeed, Kelsey feels certain that the deceased singer has manifested himself in numerous forms since his demise about three years back, one such instance being through her ongoing expansion of her family.
She pondered, “Both of us are quite spiritual, as is Will. His faith grew even stronger after his father passed away, and he started interpreting signs as messages from departed loved ones, similar to my beliefs about Tom. Interestingly, I’ve experienced many such signs, and so has Will. He no longer questions my sanity.
Apart from Tom, Kelsey has also received warm greetings from Noreen Parker, Tom’s mother, who swiftly gave her approval.
She’s eagerly looking forward to another grandchild,” she exclaimed. “What truly matters to me is the happiness of our families, including Tom’s family. Noreen is simply remarkable. After Tom passed away, she told me, ‘As long as you’re content, Kels, whatever path you choose, we will always stand by your side and be happy for you.’ We’ve all shared so many trials together.
