Kena: Bridge of Spirits Runs at 4K/60 FPS on Xbox Series X, No Current Plans for Game Pass

As a long-time gamer with a soft spot for visually stunning and emotionally resonant titles, I can hardly contain my excitement for the arrival of Kena: Bridge of Spirits on Xbox consoles! The fact that it’s finally making its way to these platforms is nothing short of a dream come true.

Back in 2021, the game “Kena: Bridge of Spirits” was warmly received by everyone, and now, three years later, Ember Lab’s action-adventure game is at last making its way to Xbox consoles. Before its anticipated release on these platforms, the developers have disclosed some vital technical specifics.

Using a simpler and more conversational tone: During a chat with Pure Xbox, Josh Grier, Ember Lab’s COO, shared that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will operate at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (FPS) on the Xbox Series X. Given that it aims for the same performance on PS5, this isn’t surprising. However, it’s important to note that the PS5 version offers various graphics modes, so we’ll have to wait and see if the Xbox Series X version will follow suit.

On the Xbox Series S, the game Kena will operate in 4K resolution at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. However, it’s yet to be determined if the developers are planning to include a 60 FPS mode on this console.

According to Grier, it appears that Ember Lab currently doesn’t intend to introduce their action-adventure game onto Xbox Game Pass in the near future. When inquired about this possibility, his response was clear: “At present, we don’t have plans for Xbox Game Pass.”

“Experience ‘Kena: Bridge of Spirits’ now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms. Mark your calendars for August 15 as it also releases for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Dive into our detailed review of the game right here.”
