Kevin Feige Reveals Why Vision Series Showrunner Was Chosen

As a gamer who’s seen more than a few Marvel movies and read countless comics, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming Vision series on Disney+! After witnessing Paul Bettany’s incredible performance as Vision in WandaVision, I’m eager to learn what our synthetic hero has been up to during his travels.

Disney+’s upcoming Vision series has chosen Terry Matalas to helm the project, a decision made by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige after being impressed by the high caliber of “Star Trek: Picard.” With Paramount+ seeing significant success from “Picard,” and Feige being a known “Star Trek” enthusiast, it was Matalas’ show that stood out for its ability to delve into character development and reinterpret history. Since the finale of “WandaVision,” fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on Vision’s whereabouts during his travels.

“Feige shared that he discovered this individual through his exceptional work on ‘Picard’ Season 3. He was so impressed, he said: ‘This is remarkable! I can’t believe it exists. I must find the creator.’ This encounter is noteworthy as it marks the first time Marvel Studios officially recognized the series often referred to as ‘Vision Quest‘. Given that Paul Bettany’s character is returning, it seems fitting, although some fans are anticipating Elizabeth Olsen’s return before Vision makes his comeback. (Additionally, speculations about Tom King’s ‘Vision‘ run might hint at casting her as one of his robot family members, which sounds intriguing.)”

Wonder Man Is Also Waiting In The Wings

As a lifelong Marvel fan, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming Disney+ series for Wonder Man! Having grown up reading the comics and seeing him appear in various films, it’s incredible to see this character finally getting his own show. The fact that filming has recently wrapped and there might be a mention of it at next month’s D23 Expo only adds to my excitement.

As a dedicated gamer, I can relate to Marvel as the creative powerhouse, forever brimming with fresh ideas. I yearn for our continued journey of crafting novel storylines and intriguing characters, venturing into uncharted territories. Not every attempt will be a triumph, but that’s part of the adventure. The moment we cease to innovate is when we start to fade, and everything crumbles around us. I believe our strength lies in telling compelling, unique stories in distinctive ways. Soon, we’ll unveil a series, scarcely spoken about until now, titled “Wonder Man.” It’s unlike anything we’ve produced before, and I can’t wait to share more details with you at the right time.
