After quite a journey, here we finally arrive at Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road! At long last! On August 21st, the much-anticipated soccer RPG from Level-5 will grace both PS5 and PS4 consoles for the first time.
Globally, the game can be accessed, yet a point to consider for physical enthusiasts is that it’s exclusively digital – even in its homeland, Japan. However, on the upside, cross-platform play and cross-save functionality will be supported among all versions of the game.
For PlayStation enthusiasts, buying either the PS4 or PS5 version grants you a free upgrade to the other version as well.

As a gamer, if you’re rocking the Nintendo Switch, remember this: Upgrading to the Switch 2 won’t be free, mate. And, heads up, the game you’re playing will cost more when you move to Nintendo’s latest console.
On PlayStation 5 and 4, the standard version of the game will retail at $69.99 or £57.99. However, for a slightly higher price of $79.99 or £65.99, you can opt for the Deluxe Edition which offers early access and additional in-game goodies such as goal celebrations and XP boosters. Moreover, there will be exclusive cosmetics designed specifically for each console.
From my perspective as a die-hard fan, let me tell you this game is chock-full of exciting content! The main storyline is set 25 years post the original Inazuma Eleven, but what truly sets it apart is the incorporation of more than 5,200 characters spanning the entire franchise’s history.
Take a peek at the trailer located above for a sneak peek of what’s coming up. Keep in mind that it’s one among two games from Level-5 to be released this year. Additionally, Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Stalls Time is set to launch this summer as well.
