Tripwire Interactive has moved back the release of their horror first-person shooter game, “Killing Floor III,” from its initial planned launch on March 25, 2023, to a later date in 2025. The exact release date hasn’t been disclosed yet. Players can expect to find this game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and personal computers via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
We are cancelling all current pre-orders and processing refunds. To learn more about how this works on each platform, please check our FAQ on the Tripwire Interactive Forums.
Here is the full message from Tripwire Interactive on the delay:
Dear Killing Floor Fans,
We’ve made the decision to postpone Killing Floor III‘s launch to an undecided date later in 2025.
Following careful consideration of the feedback from our latest closed beta testing, we’ve come to understand that we didn’t quite hit the target. Our ambition isn’t merely to advance the franchise with Killing Floor III, but also to preserve the essential gameplay experience you’ve grown fond of.
Under the backing of our main company, Embracer Group, we’re collaborating on a schedule to tackle numerous problems reported during the beta test, such as performance issues, stability, user interface/user experience, lighting, and weapon feedback. Although it’s premature to specify which adjustments will be made by release time, we can verify that a post-launch update offering independent selection of perk class and character is in the works.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to present a refined edition of “Killing Floor III” for another look. As soon as we have more information to reveal, rest assured, you’ll be among the first to hear about it. Until that time, we appreciate your understanding and enthusiastic backing.
Sincerely, The Tripwire Interactive Development Team
