The news follows a diagnosis of an undisclosed type of cancer for the 75-year-old, which occurred in February. Despite receiving treatment regularly, Charles has sparingly disclosed updates on his health to the public.
During a chat at the Army Flying Museum in May, Charles mentioned that he had temporarily lost his ability to taste, which was a side effect of his chemotherapy treatments. He did not provide any information on whether this condition would be temporary or permanent.
After coming back to public engagements, the museum visit took place, and it was on the 30th of April. Although he had temporarily stepped aside after the initial diagnosis for treatment and healing, he was accompanied by Queen Camilla at London’s University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre.
