Warhorse Studios has just rolled out a fresh update for the anticipated sequel of “Kingdom Come: Deliverance”, and if you’ve been longing for an even more challenging immersion into the medieval RPG setting, then this latest version is tailor-made for you!
The main feature introduced in Patch 1.2.4 is the challenging mode called “Hardcore Mode”. This mode was previously mentioned as part of the game’s post-release plan back in January. As its name indicates, this isn’t a mode for casual gamers, so make sure you understand what you’re getting into before you start playing it.
In “Hardcore Mode,” several features commonly found in games are eliminated, such as the display of your character’s location on the map, directional guidance via a compass, and the option for fast travel. Essentially, it strips the game down to its raw, unforgiving core.
In addition, during your gameplay, you’ll need to select at least three disadvantages that will burden you for the rest of the game. These are “Sweaty,” which makes your character smellier, and “Numbskull,” which reduces your rate of experience points accumulation. Ouch.
If you enjoy a casual experience in Bohemia, Hardcore Mode might not be suitable for you. Instead, it’s designed for those who thrive under challenge and are willing to put in some effort to achieve victory – expect to break a sweat! You can learn more about it here if you’re interested.
No worries if Hardcore Mode doesn’t appeal to you! There’s still lots more to appreciate with this update. Additionally, there have been adjustments made to the pricing of herbs in stores, and a fresh new hairdo for Henry – or should I say, no hairdo at all!
You can find the complete details about the changes in Patch 1.2.4 for “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” on Warhorse’s official website. This isn’t an extensive update, so there’s no need to worry!
If you haven’t come across “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” yet, it’s a role-playing game set in the open world of 15th-century Bohemia, and similar to its first version, it prioritizes realism over fantastical aspects such as magic or mythical creatures.
Overwhelmed with excitement, I can confidently say that the game has been an incredible success for Warhorse Studios and their umbrella company, Embracer Group. In just the first fortnight of its release, it managed to secure a whopping 2 million sales!
Currently, you have the opportunity to explore “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” instantly on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. Don’t forget to peruse Ashley’s review for an insight into whether this game is a worthwhile investment for you!
