Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Issues New PS5 Patch, Changes UI and Performance Mode

Today, Warhorse Studios released an update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on PlayStation 5, which they refer to as a smaller hotfix instead of a major patch. This update requires less space for download, specifically 2.621GB compared to the previous 55GB.

In all RPG editions, the pause menu has been revamped to eliminate the New Game option to prevent accidental re-starts of gameplay. Furthermore, enhancements have been made in areas such as room renting (to avoid being labeled as a trespasser) and the Into the Underworld quest. For PlayStation 5 users, the update addresses an issue with “visual artifacts” that appeared during Performance mode play.

Due to the fact that this update doesn’t include over 1,000 changes, a concise summary of the updates can be found in the patch notes provided below.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Update 1.2.2 Patch Notes

Room Renting

Rectified a problem that allowed players to remain labeled as intruders even after departing from rented rooms, once they re-entered the map.

User Interface

We took away the “New Game” feature from the game’s pause menu to prevent any unintentional erasing of current game progress during play. A stronger solution will be introduced in an upcoming update.

Into the Underworld Quest

Resolved a problem that caused Goatskin items to vanish upon loading a saved game from version 1.1.X following the update to version 1.2. Now, your Goatskin items should persist as intended.

Platform-Specific Fixes

PlayStation 5: Resolved visual artifacts occurring in Performance mode.

PC: Fixed an issue where closing the barber overlay with a mouse would break the main menu.

With this fix, we’re aiming to make the gameplay even smoother while we keep improving the game. We appreciate your understanding and continued backing!
