Summary

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 mods replace Mutt with Donkey, Nyan Cat, a hot dog, and more.

  • The creativity of modders in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers unique and fun alternatives, but it may not reach Oblivion’s level.

Since its debut in February, the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sparked a thriving modding scene among players. Some have cranked up the difficulty level in Hardcore mode, while others have transformed characters into skeletons with their own unique skeleton dialect. Additionally, popular gaming weapons have been incorporated into the game by creative enthusiasts.

Over the past fortnight, an assortment of modifications has surfaced, with one gamer apparently intent on removing Mutt from the game and substituting him with various types of animals instead.

Mutt Replacement Mods Are Rife In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In the realm of gaming, I recently stumbled upon an exciting twist in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. A couple of weeks back, a mod emerged that wasn’t just about Mutt replacements, but a broader transformation. Over a hundred of us gamers opted for a modification that swapped the cherished character Henry with the equally adored ogre, Shrek! In this new version, Mutt was replaced by none other than his loyal sidekick, Donkey.

Ever since then, several new creations, similar to Shrek but different, have been introduced by the same creator, Omniscye. Some of these are quite harmless, altering the color of the dog’s fur, while others completely swap out his model for bizarre and eccentric creatures.

Back in the early 2010s, the internet was graced by the presence of Nyan Cat. Now, thanks to an imaginative modder, this colorful, pop-tart shaped cat that shoots rainbows can be incorporated into your game, substituting Henry’s dog instead.

More recently, a cat named El Gato became popular on TikTok when someone misunderstood “Arigatou” (a Japanese phrase meaning thank you) as “El Gato.” Much like the well-known internet cat Nyan Cat, El Gato is now suitable for use in various games.

Additionally, players could choose Boo from the Super Mario Bros. series to stand in for Mutt, although many might prefer Glizzy Mutt instead.

Henry’s cherished, though pesky, pet dog could instead be imagined as an enormous hot dog, adorned with a bun, pickles, and mustard – a sight that really needs to be witnessed to be fully appreciated.

Another demonstration of modders creating amazing works, however, it’s unlikely that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will outshine the Oblivion Remaster in terms of release timing.
