The mission initiates when Dry Devil fires a crossbow at Markvart von Aulitz during a confrontation with the Prague army over stolen silver from the Italian Court. This quest involves two significant battles where defending the castle is essential, making thorough preparation beforehand absolutely vital. Unfortunately, since the Oratores mission restricts fast travel, it’s crucial to complete all necessary preparations in Suchdol.

In this scenario, you need to prevent the approaching soldiers from reaching the castle. Locate the halberd weapon positioned by the staircase and ascend the fortification walls. Utilize the halberd to knock down ladders one by one as enemies continue to scale them. It’s crucial to defeat them promptly since they can quickly overpower you if they surround you. You also have the option of throwing stones at them through the openings in the fortification walls for added defense.

Alongside your allies, it’s their job to bring down the ladders. Your task is simply to keep yourself alive until you’ve knocked down enough of them. After you’ve woken up, have a chat with Godwin to ready ourselves for the next siege. Prior to that conversation, interact with three non-player characters (NPCs) who can equip us with resources for the impending battle. Since we’re on a mission and can’t use fast travel during this period, follow this list to gather our supplies:

1. Speak to NPC A for weaponry
2. Engage in dialogue with NPC B for armor and shields
3. Interact with NPC C for potions and other battle essentials

With these supplies, we’ll be well-equipped for the upcoming battle!

  • Janosh: He can be found wandering around the castle. Talk to him and choose any dialogues as they won’t matter. He provides you with some food as he is the head of the food supplies in Suchdol. You can also eat the soup from the pot in the kitchen if you want to save the food for later.
  • Katherine and Musa: They can be found in the northwest corner of the inner courtyard. Go and talk to them about everything you can for medical supplies. This is an optional objective.
  • Frenzl: Talk to him for ammunition supplies, and he asks your help to sharpen two swords. This is optional and gains your reputation on completion. Pick up the two swords on the table beside him and sharpen them at the sharpening wheel. Give the swords back to Frenzl for some reputation.

Navigate using the map’s guidepost and interact with both Zizka and Godwin. In due course, Zizka will assign you a temporary command position, tasking you with gathering men for night-time watch duties. 1. Locate Kozliek on the higher sections of the walls; approach him for a conversation to enlist his service.

2. Descend the stairs and engage with Knacker Wolfram to recruit him as part of your team too.

3. Next, find Jaroslav and Janek who are playing dice in close proximity to where you previously spoke with Frenzl, the blacksmith. Recruit them both as well.

4. With everyone mentioned by Zizka accounted for, gather all the recruits at the blacksmith’s location, and here you can give an inspiring speech to boost morale and improve your reputation. However, only reputation points will be earned if a successful skill check with Presence is made during the speech.

1. Before you take a break before the upcoming fight, chat with Hans, who’s close to your room. If you have a high level of Scholarship, you might earn his respect. Then, head to your room for some rest, which marks the end of this part of the So It Begins mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

The Night Raid Begins

At midnight, Silent Sentinel rouses you for your nightly patrol around the castle. Your task is to verify on your guards at designated spots.
