Kingdom Hearts 4 – Voice Actor Reveals He Has Been Working on the Game Since Last Year

As a gaming enthusiast, it’s clear to me that Square Enix hasn’t been chatting much about Kingdom Hearts 4 since its announcement, but from what I’ve gathered, it seems like they’re making steady progress on

Pokres recently announced, ‘These are all projects completed in the past YEAR, including Kingdom Hearts 4.’ These top-tier projects have been making waves across the industry. I’m working alongside some of the most sought-after professionals, without an agent, and it’s just one incredible opportunity after another.

As a fellow gamer, I began modestly, taking on minor voice acting roles and casting calls. For quite some time before and following my rise to prominence, I tirelessly worked to establish myself not just as a voice actor, but as a person who consistently puts themselves out there, every step of the way.

Pokres clarified that he had received explicit approval from Square Enix to bring up the topic of “Kingdom Hearts 4” in his post, along with other projects he’s been involved with such as “MiSide” and “Indigo Park”. Regarding “Kingdom Hearts 4”, though, it remains undecided which character he will be providing the voice for.

In the game development process, voice work is usually among the last tasks completed, following animations, coding, and other elements. This is often done to minimize the number of times a voice actor needs to return to the studio due to script changes. Although it’s hard to predict the development timeline for Kingdom Hearts 4 specifically, Pokres’ post may hint that Square Enix could soon make an official announcement about the game.

Earlier in January, the director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Tetsuya Nomura, hinted at certain themes we could expect in Kingdom Hearts 4. In a special post commemorating the 15th anniversary of the series on platform X, Nomura mentioned that one of the main storylines for Kingdom Hearts 4 would revolve around the concept of crossroads.

In his post, he mentioned a video featuring three characters armed with Keyblades, standing guard at an intersection, which was a hidden clip from the Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep game. This scenario of meeting someone at a crossroads is frequently seen as a recurring theme within the Kingdom Hearts series.

In the game known as Kingdom Hearts, a crossroads is initially encountered for the first time within Chain of Memories. This game centers around the theme of sacrificing something in order to acquire something else. Interestingly, every subsequent appearance of a crossroads in the series carries the same symbolic meaning as the initial one, according to Nomura.

Lately, Square Enix shared that they were halting the production of the mobile game, Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link. The reason given was that providing a service that keeps players content for an extended period seemed challenging, ultimately leading them to cease development.

It’s been confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 has been in the works since as far back as April 2022, but at this point, we don’t know when it will be available for us to play.
