Following her successful deterrence of the intruder, later identified as an HVAC technician who had visited the residence for repairs earlier that day, she subsequently conducted a search throughout the holiday home for Jay.
Kristin confessed, “After waking Jay up, I became incredibly anxious, almost terrified.” She went on to explain, “At first, I wasn’t afraid; I was surprisingly calm. But it wasn’t until later that I fully grasped what had transpired.
It’s fortunate for the divorced pair that their children remained undisturbed throughout the burglary earlier that year, as they were oblivious to the event where the man made off with some cash kept in a backpack. (As reported by Kristin, they managed to recover the money.)
Kristin mentioned, “My children are unaware of that particular tale yet. It’s a story I believe would genuinely frighten them, about an intruder sneaking around our house and creeping on the bedroom floor.
She decided that she wouldn’t likely share this information with them until they become adults, as she believes certain matters are beyond their understanding at a younger age.
