Lala Kent's 90 Lb. Weight Loss After Heartbreaking Split from Randall Emmett

Lala Kent is getting candid about a difficult period.

The star of “Vanderpump Rules” looked back at her 2021 split from ex-fiancé Randall Emmett, describing it as “the worst period of my life.” She revealed that this difficult experience had a significant impact on her physical health.

Hey Brittany, you recall when I hit a staggeringly low weight of around 90 pounds? It’s me, your ever-loyal fan. I simply couldn’t manage to find food appealing, and my health wasn’t exactly top-notch,” I shared with you on the March 14 episode of your podcast, ‘When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright’.

Approximately four years past, the 34-year-old, who co-parents a 3-year-old named Ocean with a previous film producer, expresses gratitude for no longer needing to interact with him in the future.

Lala shared that she often tells herself, ‘You’re alright now. That difficult phase of your life has passed, and you’ve moved past it.’ It’s finished. It’s behind you, and that sense of relief is wonderful.

She finds comfort in this particular point. As she put it, “I enjoy saying, ‘You’re someone else’s concern.’

Lala, who is also a single mother to her 6-month-old daughter named Sosa, acknowledges that she hasn’t completely severed ties with him since they share parenting responsibilities for their son Ocean.

When you have a child with someone, it’s not an option to abruptly say, “Farewell! Leave me alone forever!” Instead, your lives are now intertwined due to the shared responsibility.

In fact, Lala and Randall just recently resolved their lengthy custody battle.

During a live stream on Amazon, Lala announced, “The custody dispute has concluded, folks. It’s finished. That’s the news I have for today.

Emphasizing that their daughter’s well-being comes first, she was happy with the result.

Three years later, we’ve finally sealed a deal that suits our daughter, Ocean, perfectly,” she went on. “I’m incredibly joyful about it.

For Lala, coming to an agreement has brought her such relief—on behalf of her and Ocean.

For a very long time, this matter has been heavy on both my heart and spirit, and I believe it’s affected my ex as well. Yet, I am overjoyed that we managed to reach a positive point, primarily for the sake of our child’s welfare.

In an Instagram post in March 2024, Lala expressed, “To my first love: You truly turned my world upside down and whisked me away to heaven when you made me a mother.” She continued, “I adore you immensely, my little Pisces darling. Continue making ripples. Wishing you a joyous 3rd birthday, beautiful soul. May blessings from above always be with you.

Lala shared on social media in October 2023: “Today marks 5 years of being sober for me. Today, I remember my rock-bottom moment vividly, recalling all the events that transpired. Waking up, acknowledging my powerlessness, and for the first time in a long while, seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I’m incredibly thankful for this day.

She continued, “I’ll keep putting in effort for my abstinence and spare a moment in quiet reflection for those struggling with alcoholism.” To them, she said, “I acknowledge you – I care for you.” She ended with a heartfelt thank you, God, and a celebration of her birthday.

In her December 2023 post on the Give Them Lala podcast, she shared that she learned from a sign upon arrival that Aloha represents more than just a greeting; it’s a way of life. She expressed gratitude for being able to experience the island’s beauty and how it rejuvenated everyone. They were all incredibly thankful.

In Summer 2023, Lala posted about “Ocean heading to Newport” on a merry-go-round. Seeing O play in the place where I once played at her age filled my heart with joy. Newport carries a deep significance for me. My father would wake us up at 7 am and have us set up on this beach until the sunset. It seems Ocean is making him just as proud, carrying on the legacy of a true beach enthusiast, like her grandfather.
