I’m deeply saddened to share that my beloved mother, Mary Condor, has recently left us. In a heartfelt post, I expressed the profound impact she had on my life as the star of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”
In a July 28 Instagram post, she expressed, “My dear dear mother, I’m here, pondering over all I long to tell you. Words seem insufficient to capture the depth of sorrow I feel from your loss. It has left me hollowed out and adrift.”
She continued, “I’ve been assuming you went out for a brief errand, perhaps to buy our favorite smoked salmon dip. Maybe you’re just on the phone and couldn’t answer my call because you were engrossed in the moment, looking up instead of at your phone. I keep hoping that you’ll contact me soon and that you haven’t really left me.”
As the 27-year-old explained, she’s also relishing in every lesson her mom taught her in life.
Lana expressed, “Every good quality I possess is due to you. You’ve shown me how to appreciate the world and people without hatred. You’ve instilled in me the importance of trusting my instincts and running boldly with them. You’ve taught me the value of empathy in a world that desperately needs it. You’ve demonstrated what unconditional kindness and compassion mean, and I’ve learned that these should always be our guiding principles.”
The star of the Summer Night expressed that her mother brought an abundance of joy, warmth, and vibrant colors into their family’s world. Consequently, she worries that sunrises may seem less radiant and fulfilling without her mother present.
I’ve only been without you for a few short days, but it feels like an eternity. I miss you deeply, as if you’ve been gone for much longer, and just left me recently. I hope you’re out there, running free in the wind, finding all the answers to your endless questions. My longing for you is profound.
