In 1984, “The Last Starfighter” debuted alongside “Tron,” becoming among the initial movies to incorporate on-screen computer technology. Despite earning a relatively small $28 million at the box office, a sequel for “The Last Starfighter” appeared promising.
Titled “Lance Guest as Alex Logan: High Schooler Transferred to Another Planet to Pilot Starfighters in a Battle for Survival,” this film sees Lance Guest stepping into the main role. In it, he’s shown as a high school student who excels at the Starfighter video game, unaware that it was merely a test. His exceptional skills earn him a position on an elite team of starfighters, where he must defend their world from imminent attack.
As a passionate cinephile, I recently got the opportunity to sit down with the talented cast and, to my delight, Lance Guest shared some exciting insights about the upcoming sequel to “The Last Starfighter”!
