Lanterns TV Series Rumored to Add Josh Brolin as Hal Jordan

As a long-time comic book enthusiast who’s seen more superhero movies than I can count (and that’s saying something!), the rumored casting of Josh Brolin as Hal Jordan for the upcoming series “Lanterns” has me buzzing with excitement!

Following his menacing portrayal of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Josh Brolin may transition into the DC universe as a beloved hero, according to recent rumors. Allegedly, Brolin will assume the role of Hal Jordan in the upcoming TV show “Lanterns”. The speculation originates from podcast host TheInSneider and Nexus Point News, but no official announcements regarding the casting have been made yet. The series is expected to center around both Jordan and John Stewart, with no news about the casting of Stewart as of now.

The upcoming series will be overseen by Chris Mundy (known for “Ozark” and “True Detective: Night Country”), and will be jointly penned by Mundy, Damon Lindelof (renowned for “Watchmen” and “The Leftovers”), and popular comic writer Tom King. The storyline of “Lanterns” focuses on two interstellar law enforcement officers, John Stewart and Hal Jordan, who find themselves entangled in a sinister mystery on Earth when they investigate a homicide in the Midwest.

In the year 2011, Ryan Reynolds played Hal Jordan in the movie “Green Lantern.” However, this upcoming series seems to delve into a mystery-driven narrative. Josh Brolin, who previously shared the screen with Reynolds as Cable in “Deadpool 2,” might bring a tougher demeanor to Jordan’s character compared to Reynolds’ more witty portrayal of the role.

Actor Aldis Hodge, known for his roles as Hawkman in “Black Adam” and as the voice of John Stewart in animated productions, is prepared to share the lead role in “Lanterns” with another actor.

As a devoted fan, I shared my enthusiasm for venturing into live-action roles this year with ComicBook, stating, “I’m wide open to any opportunities that come my way!” In particular, I harbor a deep desire to continue the legacy of Hawkman on the big screen since we had some fantastic plans for him. Additionally, if John Stewart ever made his live-action debut, it would be an absolute dream come true for me! After all, I’ve given voice to John Stewart in animated productions for quite a while now, and Phil LaMarr has been a trailblazer in that regard. So, let me take this moment to express my admiration for his exceptional work. If John Stewart’s story were ever adapted into live-action, count me in! Growing up, being John Stewart in a live-action setting was one of my childhood dreams.

In James Gunn’s upcoming Superman, Nathan Fillion will be debuting as Green Lantern Guy Gardner.

Stay tuned for updates on Lanterns.

Here’s a possible way to rephrase it while keeping the original meaning intact:
