Latest on Bobby Lashley, MVP's WWE Future: Will The Hurt Business Reunite in Another Company?

As a longtime fan of Bobby Lashley and MVP, I’ve been following their careers closely for over a decade. Their partnership, both on and off-screen, has brought some of the most exciting moments in professional wrestling for me. From their days in TNA to the formation of The Hurt Business in WWE, they’ve always managed to captivate audiences with their charisma and in-ring prowess.

Bobby Lashley’s wrestling career with WWE could be coming to an end. According to recent reports, his contract is nearing its expiration and he has been taken off the company’s internal roster. For over a year, Lashley has been part of the SmackDown roster, teaming up with The Street Profits to create a stable named The Pride. Together, they defeated The Final Testament at WrestleMania 40. However, their success hasn’t led to many opportunities since then. In fact, Lashley has only had six matches post-WrestleMania 40 and none since May 5th. He was initially scheduled to join the King of the Ring tournament but was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Report: Bobby Lashley, MVP’s Future in WWE

Latest on Bobby Lashley, MVP's WWE Future: Will The Hurt Business Reunite in Another Company?

The plans for Bobby Lashley moving forward are unclear, but it appears that the fate of his long-term manager has already been decided.

According to Fightful Select’s latest update, MVP is no longer featured on WWE’s internal roster and is unlikely to return to the company. For some time now, he has been absent from both WWE live events and television shows. The last time MVP appeared on WWE TV was when he managed Omos. Fightful Select attempted to contact WWE for a statement but received no response.

Lashley and MVP have collaborated for more than 10 years. Their partnership started on TNA’s screens, forming a three-person alliance with Kenny King. This alliance was spiritually carried over to WWE as The Hurt Business, consisting of Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. WWE has frequently hinted at reassembling this group on Monday Night Raw during the past few years, but it never materialized.

As a passionate gamer following pro wrestling, I’ve been buzzing with excitement lately regarding the potential reunion of The Hurt Business trio – Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Benjamin. With Benjamin currently a free agent, fans have been theorizing about their possible move to other companies like AEW and TNA. However, AEW President Tony Khan is known for his discretion when it comes to discussing wrestlers still under contract with other promotions, as evident by his careful words regarding Ricochet prior to his WWE departure. So, we may have to wait until both Lashley and MVP officially join the free agent pool before any potential AEW interest is made public.

MVP, in his own words, has expressed strong disapproval towards Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, on social media. He has taken jabs at Triple H for not making full use of The Hurt Business group in WWE’s creative process.

Stay tuned to ComicBook for updates on Lashley and MVP’s wrestling futures.
