Prepare to step into another world of dark cosmic landscapes. On Tuesday, the latest trailer for “Slingshot” was unveiled by Bleecker Street, before its scheduled release in late August. The film features Casey Affleck (“Manchester by the Sea”, “A Ghost Story”), Laurence Fishburne (“The Matrix” series, “John Wick” series), Emily Beecham (“Daphne”, “Little Joe”), Tomer Capone (“The Boys”, “One Week and a Day”), and David Morrissey (“The Walking Dead”). In this sci-fi thriller, an astronaut grapples with losing his sanity, adding a challenging layer to the mission he is involved in.
For a number of years, the movie titled “Slingshot” has been under development, with filming starting towards the end of 2021. It is expected to be released to distributors in 2022. You can watch the latest trailer for it down below.
What Is Slingshot About?
In “Slingshot,” we join a select band of astronauts embarking on a lengthy voyage to Saturn’s moon Titan, a mission that may be tainted with uncertainty. As the crew prepares for a treacherous slingshot maneuver that could either propel them towards Titan or hurtle them into the vastness of space, it grows progressively challenging for one astronaut to keep a firm grasp on his sanity.
“The movie ‘Slingshot’ is helmed by Mikael Håfström (known for ‘The Rite’, ‘1408’, and ‘Evil’) and penned by screenwriters R. Scott Adams (‘Donner Pass’) and Nathan Parker (‘Moon’, ‘Equals’). What Are Lawrence Fishburne’s Next Projects?
