Law Roach is a blonde bombshell at the 2025 Met Gala.
Besides designing stunning outfits for celebrities like Zendaya, Cardi B, André 3000, and Angela Bassett at the yearly costume gala, the stylist also drew attention with a bold change on the red carpet – he switched his traditional long black hair for a chic, short blonde hairstyle.
He shared with Vogue in an interview on May 5 that he wanted to switch things up for what seems to be a very special occasion. Previously, he had sported blond hair, but never quite like this.
Law added, “My hair is telling a story for the night.”
The 46-year-old carefully selected an outfit that reflected the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. His attire consisted of a sleek black velvet suit, paired with a low-cut white shirt featuring frilled sleeves and cuffs. This choice was fitting since the event aimed to celebrate the progression of fashion among Black men and their dedication to self-expression through style, often referred to as dandyism.
He clarified that this year’s Met Gala holds a special significance not just for him personally, but also for everyone who shares similar experiences as himself.
Law emphasized that the evening’s focus was a “tribute” or “homage” to the late fashion icon André Leon Talley, who served as a significant inspiration for him.
In fact, I possess many of his garments,” Law explained further, “and it seems as though this is a means of preserving his memory in a unique and lasting manner.
Before the special occasion, Law mentioned that instead of their typical pattern, he and Zendaya, who have worked together for more than ten years, would change things up for this specific event.

But fans of the fashionable duo need not worry about their long-term partnership.
“We’re doing our own thing this year,” he said, “which is exciting.”
