Lea Michele and her spouse Zandy Reich recently expanded their family, welcoming a new member who is now a little sister to their 3-year-old boy, Ever.
On August 25th, the former Glee star posted on Instagram with a heartwarming caption: “Our hearts are overflowing,” accompanied by a picture showing family members tenderly touching the little foot of their newborn baby, whom they named Emery Sol Reich.
In 2019, Lea and her retail business owner husband announced their union. By March 2024, they joyfully shared that their family was expanding. Lea posted pictures on Instagram, displaying her baby bump, with the caption “Mommy, Daddy, and Ever are thrilled.”
60 days after, the actress announced on an Instagram post for Mother’s Day that she and Zandy are expecting a baby girl. She wrote in the caption, “I’m holding my son, who made me a mom, and I’m also carrying my daughter.”
For me, this phase signifies a significant shift in my priorities. As a Tony nominee who’s always been deeply committed to my career, I found re-entering the workforce with the Spring Awakening anniversary show a challenging yet rewarding experience, coming a year after welcoming Ever into our lives.
She shared with TopMob News in 2022 that performing “Spring Awakening” in November [2021] marked the first time she ventured away from home, and it brought her back to pursuing her beloved passion. Admittedly, she felt a pang of motherly guilt about leaving him and not being constantly available. However, she emphasized that it was crucial for her to demonstrate her dedication to something she loved so dearly.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I proudly emulate Rachel Berry’s spirit whenever I step onto a stage – and that’s exactly what I did during the revival of “Funny Girl.” However, it’s essential to highlight that although Fanny Brice was my character of choice, my family became the main event when Ever faced a health challenge in March 2023. Stepping away from the spotlight momentarily allowed me to be fully present and supportive during this trying time for us all.
Luckily, she was able to share just over a month later that her son was on the road to recovery.
