In the world of “League of Legends“, the official team has revealed a thrilling revamp for ARAM (All Random All Mid) maps, set to replace the Howling Abyss in the game’s second permanent mode. This update is geared towards Season 2 Act 2 and introduces a Spirit Blossom-themed map for ARAM, a new champion named Yunara, and incorporates in-game meta-games within the client. These updates aim to refresh the gaming experience and further develop the Spirit Blossom storyline through the Wyldbloom.
Significant updates are set to excite players about the upcoming ARAM map, Koeshin’s Crossing, and the return of a fan favorite, Butcher’s Bridge. The team is working on incorporating subtle yet significant adjustments to enhance gameplay, so that long-time players will still feel at home while enjoying a fresh twist on the mode.
Exciting Maps & Enhanced Champion Selection
A fresh map titled Koeshin’s Crossing, inspired by Spirit Blossom, is being added alongside the popular Butcher’s Bridge in ARAM mode. When you begin an ARAM game, you’ll randomly be placed on one of three maps: Koeshin’s Crossing, Butcher’s Bridge, or the traditional Howling Abyss.
Koeshin’s Crossing presents a harmonious mix of serene scenery and unsettled souls. The layout includes a span bridging the Kinkou Shrine and Twilight Temple, adorned with Blossom gateways instead of standard Hexgates, and an extra central gateway for quick transportation across the bridge’s sides. Interacting with these gateways gives players a boost in movement speed.
In Koeshin’s Crossing, when players perish, instead of encountering a dull gray screen, they will be shown a spiritual representation of the bridge. This brief moment offers a peek into the afterlife before respawning. This is a subtle reference to the spirit world, and players can also spot other intriguing details hidden around the map, like the decorative elements on the Poros.
On the latest map update, Butcher’s Bridge has become a popular choice among fans. Previously occupied by Hexgates, it now features Bilgewater cannon launches that operate in a similar manner to facilitate swift player returns to combat. Moreover, a cozy nook in the bridge’s center houses a power flower, a familiar sight for Arena players. These flowers replenish a minimal amount of champion cooldowns and provide a brief shield, encouraging both cooperation and conflict, as it is in ARAM where excitement never wanes.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that our favorite shops have given their stock a fresh update specifically for this exciting event! You guessed it – the legendary Spectral Cutlass has made its return to shelves and can be found across all three battlefields. This iconic weapon is just what agile assassins and swift champions need for an extra edge in their gameplay.
Furthermore, the latest update presents Champion Cards as an innovative method for champion selection. Essentially, this offers an alternative to re-rolls in the Champion Select phase. Players will now have a choice between two Champion Cards, leaving any unselected cards available for their teammates to potentially choose from later on.
